23.01.2022 Over a decade of working on cool stuff for other businesses and seeing their joy, means this is extra special for me! I'm still not even sure how I ended up with my very own business but today is one of the days it feels kinda real No more hiding ... Thank you Sign Print Stitch for print and install - she's pretty fab. Also a big shout out to Gunnedah Shire Council who will be helping fund my loud (had to be) signage thanks to their Business Partner Program and the goal to Invigorate Gunnedah.

21.01.2022 Gunnedah is so super lucky to have a council that is focused, supportive and advocating of its local businesses - big and small! Especially through long standing and more recent exposure to risk and change (drought, fire, Covid). 22 applications were approved yesterday through the special Covid-19 round of the Business Partner Program. Equating to over $32,000 worth of funding to support the expansion of digital presence and drive further commerce into the community Those who weren't successful in the Covid-19 round are encouraged to apply, along with other start-ups, initiatives and expansions, to the standard Business Partner Program closing at the end of June.

20.01.2022 Almost missed it! HAPPY ONE YEAR RAW CONFETTI!! When I realised a couple months ago that this date was coming I had amazing ideas of a colourful party, launching my website and creating some killer content to boot... And then - as I was on a call with my coach this morning, I rushed to check the date on my business registration certificate and said "It's officially 12 months of Raw Confetti today!!". And so celebrations include me in my office with my shoes kicked off, mu...sic up loud, dancing throwing confetti about the place. And it's PERFECT. Luckily my boss is pretty cruisy because I've made quite the mess I've just laughed and cried and danced and squealed. I couldn't have prepared myself for business. For what was to come, what would be asked of me, what I would ask of myself and how scary but incredible it would be. I've pushed my own boundaries and had to start believing in myself and my creative and business abilities. My strength, my endurance and that hell - even if it often means winging it - I can bloody do this! To my family and my friends - thank you. For supporting me through the doubt and cheering me on. And trusting me not to drive my career into the ground. To my clients. Gosh.. I want you to know that I make a point of reminding myself often how lucky I am to have this opportunity. A thousand times thank you for trusting my vision and allowing me to hold YOUR business and passion in my hot little hands. Look at all the magic we've created! I feel so alive in knowing that Raw Confetti and I are strong heading into our second year. Bring It On

I feel as though I'm head down, bum up in my office and time is just passing by as I create websites, branding and clever words. I am however, always so, so thankful. What's on for your weekend? Luckily @mailchimp always has my back with its celebratory illustrations ... . In all seriousness, I love the jitter. I love it because it's my gauge to know that I care! 19.01.2022 The blooms are sprouting on the first day of spring and I'm over here FINALLY saying these words. SHE IS LIVE FRIENDS. MY OWN BLOODY WEBSITE IS LIVE. 'Scuse the French, but my golly I'm excited! 12 months in the making, I've literally laughed AND cried over this site, every single word, every single graphic. ... 16.01.2022 A post a little untraditional for my business page - but something that very much has my heart. I'm 23 days into Dry July in memory of a very close family friend who sadly passed away from Ovarian cancer in May. Amy was aged just 36. Ovarian Cancer Australia and The Younger Woman's Network provided Amy with information and support through something that felt so foreign and lonely is something I'm now very passionate about.... I appreciate that times are uncertain at the moment for most so please know that, even if you aren't in a position to donate, sharing is just as important

16.01.2022 Find websites, branding and social media prickly business? Luckily for us, I don't! Actually, I find it more of a tickle than a prick. As the months of running Raw Confetti pass, I continue to discover that I certainly do not know ALL there is to know about the digital world (who does right?!) What I do know though is that I love learning new things along the way. Paired with my strong creative flair is a nerdy obsession with solving 'problems' or thinking up new solutions ...to client desires, and making something work that once seemed unobtainable. Instead of feeling like banging your head against the wall (or this ball of (pretty pink) nails), why not collaborate with someone that will thrive on that 'stuff'?

Businesses with a rich heritage and a beautiful tale of opening many moons ago just like Bill Syphers Footwear, Saddlery and Repairs (who opened in 1950 to be exact) are something that I like to honour in my creative work. ... So, investigating and sourcing original components of their brands is important to me. And man it feels good when you hit the jackpot (like finding THE font)! The new digitised version of Bill Syphers Footwear & Saddlery logo will still hold the familiarity and steadfastness that their audience has grown to love + trust. Yippee!

13.01.2022 " , ?" People often say to me "I don't know how you do it - work within so many varying businesses. How do you even know what to create or write about if it's not your own field?" I guess from the outside looking in, it could seem difficult. But if there's one thing I loved before creating visual content, it was writing. My mum used to say to me as a kid "wherever you go, you'll always have pen and pape...r". And it's still true today as a 32-year old. These days I weave these skills to write content for my clients, and I LOVE IT! Whether it's a blog post, featured article, website content, social media posts or newsletters - it all feels powerful to me. . At first I didn't realise Jackson was a fine art nude photographer, and when I did click through to his website (after writing our first blog together) I was even more in awe of his work. He works with women not only to showcase their beauty - but to build their confidence and play in their strong vulnerability too. It's all about empowerment. I didn't think "oh I don't know how to write about boudoir or nude photography." I thought "how can I craft words to showcase this work, because I believe in his passion?" Ergo, we have a beautiful working relationship that allows Jackson the time and energy to focus on his passion, and me on mine! Oh - and it helps with his SEO rankings of course

12.01.2022 After a brand facelift, a photoshoot + a new website build with yours truly, (that means me!) Billabong Motel is looking preeetty snazzy. Even if I do say so myself! The Billabong Motel is one of the favourite motels for Gunnedah locals to host their visitors. It has been part of their folklore since the 1960's, and I've enjoyed working on this uplevel with owners Patricia + Greg Wilks. You can view the live site here: https://www.billabongmotel.net.au... Never in my life have I been surrounded by so many strong, empowered, resilient and creative business chicks and I LOVE IT.... . @megwilkin.photography doesn't just take photos - she captures souls with her heart and her passion and she's freaking great at it . Today I bought Meg in to help me capture the magic that happens with the fab girls over at @elkie.and.co ahead of building them a brand spanking new website . I'm super lucky to call these girls friends and fellow creative souls to Raw Confetti too! . Creating websites is about taking an audience on a journey and photographs do that best. 03.01.2022 Upon following her passion to start her own business Emily of Emily Wallace Buyers Advocate was in search of a user friendly website that would be easy to navigate as someone with limited tech knowledge. The website needed to convey both her brand and her services across written and video content with a sleek and seamless design. Her feedback? ... Keira did an awesome job of creating my website!
