25.01.2022 Today is Earth Day! I am so pleased to see how many people are making small changes towards restoring the earth to her former glory... we all have a part to play! This year's Earth day theme is #restoreourearth and it is all about making changes to relp restore, rebuild and rejuvenate our planet as well as educate the communities globally in how to best care for the earth going forward. There are a large amount of programs already up and running with more initiatives comin...g each day! We all have a part to play... small business, big business, singles, couples, small families and large families. We should never underestimate the impact that we all make (for better or for worse) and remember that we have the choice to make the changes for a sustainable future! We all need to consider... What does it mean to throw something away? What is away? Every piece of plastic ever created still exists on our planet and everyday we continue to produce more and more. It is time to stop the pollution of our natural habitats, clean up the mess we’ve made and find more sustainable solutions. We need to make small changes to our daily habits and tske ownership of our decisions... to send messages to businesses that we want change! We need their help to make those changes readily accessible... and they need our help to know what we want! 24.01.2022 Back to school already?! Are you glad or sad? Call me strange, but I always love having the kids home for school holidays and miss them when they head back.. this time, all rugged up in Winter school uniforms. I love the relaxed start to the day during school holidays where we aren't all rushing around trying to find ties and last minute library books, or the missing shoe which mysteriously ended up under the lounge... ... This said, education is super important and I know they have fun (despite them claiming otherwise ). I do always try to make sure that they have a healthy lunchbox packed with nutritious snacks (ok and maybe the odd treat too) , along with a full bottle of water and a little note to kick off the term and remind them that they are loved! Today I added a gold coin so they could head to the canteen and order something warm (that always puts a smile on their faces!). What do you do to make the first day of term easier? Happy back to school everyone...

17.01.2022 Brown paper packages tied up with string... ... these are a few of my favourite things! To me, the most beautiful gift wrapping is simple... Kraft paper tied up with twine or Jute with a couple of lavender flowers or some beautiful native leaves! Simply beautiful...... Unbleached Kraft paper can be reused and then recycled and unbleached twine or jute serve so many purposes and will degrade naturally (unlike fancy ribbons). With a little practice, you can use the twine to hold the paper together, eliminating the need for sticky tape too! What's your favourite gift wrapping style? Do you mix it up or are all the pressies colour matched under the tree? Do you use ribbon? Cards? Have you got some family traditions?

01.01.2022 School holidays... Summer fun in the sun! So day 1 of school holidays and I thought it would be fun to kick off with a beach day... and 6 kids . The weather was balmy, the people scarce and it was just picture perfect . We live in such a gorgeous country!... Fun in the sun always means a healthy dose of slip, slop, slap and I can't rave about these Surf Mud natural sunscreens enough! First up... the Tinted Covering Cream! Tinted yes... but not overly so (swipe across... to demonstrate, I put a little on the right side of my hand and struggled to see the difference tbh...). And the packaging... on point!
