24.01.2022 I love working out ... These are words I never thought I’d say, never thought I’d live out but it’s true; I love working out. There came a crossroad in my life where I needed to make a choice for my physical health, mental health and for my family; something had to change. ... The first photo was taken right at the beginning of my journey, I’m not embarrassed one bit (now), it’s part of my story. At the time I felt embarrassed, lacked confidence and felt like a failure, but then I was introduced to working out, lifting weights and getting some movement into my life. It’s been a long road but I found my health and even though I’m not where I want to be entirely, I KNOW I’m not where I was. My passion has evolved, no longer am I just passionate about working out for my own health benefits I am extremely passionate about helping out those who feel like I use to feel. 23.01.2022 Who encourages you the most and who propels you forward? Jim Rohn said You’re the average of the five people you spend the most time with. Do the people you hang around make you better or do they bring your average down? ... It’s #menshealthweek where focus and awareness is being made for both the mental and physical health of men. I’ve been lucky enough to have at least 2 great mates that have looked out for my physical and mental health by encouraging me to go and grow in the gym. This week alone I smashed two PB’s in two of my weakest lifts all through the encouragement and challenge of guys like Thomas Willoughby. I couldn’t thank this guy enough, we’ve been friends forever and he’s never been any different! This health journey began years earlier with another mate named Dan Taylor who guided me, coached me and helped me strengthen my body and my mind. I would have never stepped into a gym without him and his knowledge, all because he wanted me to experience a healthier lifestyle. #menshealthweek is all about us men encouraging and pushing other guys to get healthy, to get moving and grow. Who can you challenge or encourage? Who can you help get through the doors of a gym? Who are you mentoring? And who is mentoring you to be healthier? We are completing a Fast Twitch Fiber dropset 4/2/2, this was her heaviest rep, it’s so encouraging to see how Kate has continually pushed herself and grown stronger over the past few weeks. ...
