21.01.2022 Mens shed in Victor Harbour for visit and Talk

15.01.2022 Reflection Reflective life is the Good Life by being Honest with ourselves. Feelings V Facts - Living in the "Age of Anger"... Facts are stubborn things but people are more stubborn' In the fight between feelings/emotions and facts ,feelings win almost all the time, Many postings on Social Media have very little factual basis or support, Fake News is very damaging on mental health, Examples,,, "Immigration is the cause of all our problems " is a feeling not based on any facts. Without immigration we would not be here. I heard a public comment yesterday "The chinese own 70% of all Australian Farms" A quick check shows the real figure to be 2% with the British at 52% Nowdays it seems that the facts have been thrown out the window. Facts, We have Better Health,Greater Wealth,Live longer and are richer. The last 50 years the world violence is at the lowest level in history. Why is there an increase in Mental Health,? Are we just now talking about it and has it always been there ? Do we feel the world is changeing from what we feel comfortable with ? Talk About it !!!

10.01.2022 Facebook, Like all technological advances ,has benefits and risks, to mental health, it depends on how you use it. Before posting..... Check that the facts are correct. Is it True?... Is it Hurtful ? Is it Kind? Is it Positive? Is the language respectful? Hide posts that promote hate or bigotry. Unfollow any hate groups Do not respond to rude, critical, argumentive people. We can all use social media to make life better for all. See more

01.01.2022 Remembering a Lost One . There is a lot of pressure on the bereaved to "get over" a loss and move on with their lives. NOT SO EASY.... It sometimes better to focus or to relocate the deceased one, rather than attempting to sever all bonds completely. Creating rituals associated with the loss maybe more helpful in making sense of what has occured and continue bonds with a loved one. In Western Society there is a relutance to mourning rituals but I believe they can give real meaning.to a life. Photos and reminders at home , visiting special places that were important to the deceasd and celebrating birthday or anniversies are good ways to continue bonds This can be very helpful around christmas to remember the lost person in a positive way. .
