21.01.2022 Feeling like something super sweet but thats also super nutritious? Give this recipe a go! Blend one cup raw almonds into an almond meal consistency Add 1 scoop protein powder (I used @macr0mike peanut protein) ... 300g pitted dates (softened) 1/2 block @loving_earth salted caramel choc (could use any flavour!) 1 TBP either peanut butter or almond butter Blend all ingredients together until it comes together nicely. 19.01.2022 OUTDOOOR WORKOUT. Grab a skipping rope and a step of some sort, get yourself warm and youre right get started! Youre going to do one exercise for a whole minute, then straight into another exercise, then youll do 45 seconds of each exercise and then 35 seconds of each exercise. Rest for 1 minute and then you do the same for two new exercises!... 1: skipping and squats 2: step ups and burpees 3: skater jumps and lungewalk 4: jump squats and high knee sprints on the spot Then after the last minute rest you have a 6 minute finisher. Youre going to do 45 seconds of every single exercise in the order above with no rest! Have fun

17.01.2022 This lady right here is my beautiful mumma. My mum has yo-yo dieted most of her life. She has probably tried every diet you could think of. She has restricted food groups. She has starved herself. She tried many quick fixes. Spent lots of money on new ways to lose weight. My mum is like most of us.... Most of us could say "I relate to this". Most of us spend lots of time looking at ourselves in the mirror wishing we could change this or that. Most of us wish we could chop a bit of fat off here and make this other part a little curvier and make this part a bit more slim. Most of us think every Sunday "tomorrow is the day, I'm going to start a new diet." Most of us have a fear of food because media tells us "carbs are bad" "carbs are good" "fats are bad" "fats are good" "do keto" "cut sugar" "take this pill" "drink this shake" and it's forced in our faces constantly to the point where we almost want to give up and throw in the towel. And dont waste time in a work field that you do not enjoy. When I first finished school I went to Deakin to study Commerce and I got a job in financial planning.... It was super scary when I decided to quit that job that I did not enjoy nor was I passionate about, went back to uni to study nutrition, something I am super duper passionate about, and getting a job as a PT even though I was told by everyone that Id never be able to make a living with that career. But look where it has brought me. 12.01.2022 OKAY so Im not normally one to post transformation photos because I do not ever want people to only focus on this sort of transformation. BUT I am sooo proud of this wonderful woman. She just finished my 8 week challenge and has had such a massive transformation. Not just physical, but emotionally and mentally too. In her words, she said "I loved the whole thing. I loved the meals. When I signed up I thought I was going to be super hungry and the meals would be like lettu...ce haha." I asked her if I was to organise another challenge what changes does she think I should make to how it ran etc. This is her response. "Nothing. I think you are amazing. I loved the videos you posted about the different snacks." Jess, I am so proud of you. I love how much youve learnt and how excited you are to continue eating well and moving your body regularly. 12.01.2022 You could have your "perfect" dream body, be in shape, have a healthy body fat percentage, have lean muscles, and STILL BE UNHAPPY. You may have goals to lose 5kgs or to change other things about you physically, BUT reaching those goals doesn't mean you're all of a sudden going to be happy and "live happily ever after." If you're not happy throughout your health journey, you're not going to all of a sudden be happy when you reach those big goals that you have. How about focu...s on eating well to nourish your body, to give you lots of energy, to help improve your overall joy for life. Before you know it- you'll start feeling a million dollars and wonder why you wasted all those years thinking that being skinnier was the bee's knee's. Tag a friend who needs to hear this! 12.01.2022 Are you finding it really hard to not eat the whole pantry every day while at home in iso? I am So Ive got a few tips for ya: 1: try to break your fast a little later than normal (eg if you usually eat breakfast at 8am, how about keep yourself busy until 10.30am and eat then instead) it can help you to not want to eat every hour 2: drink lots of water (especially in the morning to help you to fast for longer!) Or cups of teas ... 3: if youre currently under a lot of stress, dont stress your body out more by trying to lose weight at this time. Think of it as a time to nourish your body- so instead of being super paranoid to eat less- just try to eat lots of super healthy foods! This will help reduce your stress levels and itll most likely reduce your tendency to binge eat! Listen to your body 4: try to keep yourself busy (without putting extra pressure on yourself). Eg: do the housework, read a book, go for a walk, reduce your time on social media. If youre sitting around doing nothing or just scrolling through insta youll most likely want to eat and eat and eat 5: know your weaknesses: for me its anything sweet. I am always searching the house for something sweet. But I find if I can have a sweet drink it helps me to not want a heap of other stuff. I make my own chai and have a couple a day. Its super easy and youll most likely have all the ingredients! I make it low calorie too by using Natvia sweetener but youre fine to use whatever sweetener you like! Mix together some granule sweetener, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, hot water and a small dash or almond milk. 11.01.2022 This year lets be different. Weve spent our whole lives trying to look better. We spend thousands of dollars a year on cosmetics/makeup/hair/gym/surgery/procedures and we still are not happy. Im not saying its bad to spend money on those things.... Im saying its bad that we spend money on those things just to make ourselves appear to look better in hope of us being happier. Even though the overall spending on these things has drastically increased over the years, depression rates are rising and you can look around and see that WE ARE NOT HAPPY. If we are trying so hard to change our appearance in hopes that we will be happier, its clearly failing. So instead of following the next trend in hopes of a happier life, how about lets just change our outlook? We can go get our hair done, we can go sign up to a gym, we can do all these things and become happier people. If our intentions are right. If we do these things to help us to grow/learn/relax/be better people to be around/be healthier/decrease our risk of lifestyle rated diseases etc then they are all good things! But if we do them in hopes of looking better to be happier than we are setting ourselves up for failure. Ask yourself whats super important to you and to your family and then work out what needs to be different in your life right now. This year lets be different, together. See more

07.01.2022 Tips on how to feel good when youre on a calorie deficit??? Well for starters- a calorie deficit means you consume less calories than you expend. So youre eating less energy than your body is using. You need to be in a calorie deficit to lose weight. There are many methods you could implement to make it easier, for example; calorie or macro tracking (usually using an app like My Fitness Pal), intermittent fasting (eating your meals in a small time period for example 12pm-8p...m therefore reducing the risk of oversnacking), doing keto or paleo or low carb or anything that makes it harder for you to snack on extra things (pretty much the main reason why people lose weight on these plans is not because theyve cut carbs but usually because their overall calorie intake is lowered significantly when they cant snack on lots of foods that they would usually easily overeat on), And lots moreee (I find the best way to do it and the more flexible way and more maintainable in the long term for most people is to count calories- that way you dont need to cut out certain foods but you need to be smart with the foods you do eat.) This is what Im wanting to explain in this post. The best way to be in a calorie deficit without being SUPER hungry (or hangry) is to eat high volume meals. Usually high volume meals contain lower calorie ingredients, therefore making the portion size waaaaay bigger than a super calorie dense meal but less calories. So after youve eaten your big meal you wont be reaching for all those extra snacks cos youll be feeling super content and you can stay within your calorie amounts heaps easier. Meals such as big salads with heaps of leafy greens, some light dressing or lemon juice, and some lean protein. Or a big pasta dish with Smart pasta (low calorie pasta) Or some grilled meat or grilled protein with loads of oil-free pumpkin. YOU CAN MAKE SMART CHOICES. These smart choices can be YUM and non-restrictive. If you need help let me know. I can write up a meal plan thatll include your fav foods within a calorie amount thatll help you reach your goals without being sad, hungry, grumpy, and you wont feel like youre missin out

07.01.2022 Want to end up with grass all over your face like me? Try this workout 5 BIG hill sprints (just cos it has good views up the top ) Then your aim is to get to 100 burpees as fast as you can but this is how you do it! Work for 90 seconds... Rest for 45seconds In the 90 second work period you do 100m sprint, 15 squats and max burpees. Once the 90 seconds is up, you rest. Remember the number of burpees you reached because when 45 seconds rest is up, you work again for another 90 seconds with your sprint and squats and max burpees. Keep going for as many rounds as it takes to reach a total of 100 burpees HAVE FUN!
