21.01.2022 Music can get a bit all consuming at times, trying to get you music out there, is my album doing ok, does anyone even listen. Yesterday I got to sit with a young man who’s courage and enthusiasm for the simplest things in life left me feeling energized from just being in his presence along with the notion that sometimes you need to step back and evaluate the pace at which you’d like things to happen. Targe Hough the son of some very old friends suffered an aneurism at a young... age and all I can say is that watching his progress retraining his body to do the simple tasks we all take for granted leaves me in total awe, along with the love his family surround him with. Targe and I sat and played some guitar I sang a couple of tunes while he sledged his dad with comments like Dad that’s how it’s meant to sound Sometimes as a musician you get to do way cooler things than record albums or play in front of big crowds or hear your song on the radio. Sometimes you get to do what I did yesterday, sit with someone as inspirational as Targe and let him teach you about life. I look forward so much to playing some more guitar with Targe and seeing him realize his dream of going surfing again, yesterday I forgot about my recovering knee, I forgot about the music industry, I had an experience that was just pure inspirational joy. 06.01.2022 Last night I had the privilege of playing a gig for this wonderful lady Collette and her group, shes been a constant supporter of my music from the early outset of my musical journey. It was truly funny and wonderful night I got to unleash a bunch of new songs to a listening audience and that’s where I am happiest So thank you one and all, both Cheryl and I had a blast we laughed all the way home.
