01.01.2022 Stage 1 students have spent the last 2 weeks learning about rainbow lorikeets. RTPS have many rainbow lorikeets everywhere around our school and students love watching them fly, feed and chatter around us. Stage 1 students thought the birds needed a birdbath, so they organised a rainbow lorikeet birdbath fundraiser. To advertise the fundraiser Stage 1 students made persuasive posters and visited every class to encourage everyone to dress up and bring a gold coin donation.... $365 was raised ~ enough to buy 3 birdbaths, plaques and material to cement them in. Stage 1 classes had lots of fun using the most efficient strategies to count up all of the money! Thanks to everyone for their support. See more
