25.01.2022 Breakfast with the Boss Today I got to have breakfast with another one of my awesome staff. Josh is one of my newer staff who has come on board about 6 months ago. Josh is a long term maintenance plumber with a lot of experience and he is exactly the type of person we want in our company. ... A family man who speaks constantly about his girl and two kids. He loves to cook and his footy. I really like this man. I like his honesty and he cares deeply about everyone around him. I find him infectious in his excitement about life I find myself richer because he is a part of my life. Thankyou Josh for choosing Raymond Plumbing.

25.01.2022 Breakfast with the Boss Today I had breakfast with Murray. Murray has been with Raymond Plumbing nearly 2 years now. He is a really nice guy and someone who I would also call a friend. His many years in the maintenance plumbing industry has brought a wealth of knowledge to the business.... He is probably one of the most caring people you could meet. Loves his Son Ryder and wife Jen who he talks about constantly. Always helping out a friend in need. I am so proud to have him as part of the Raymond Plumbing family and to be able to call him my friend

25.01.2022 One thing about running a business is you always seem to be working. 1/2 an hour between quotes and you set your computer up, grab a cuppa of tea and get into it. But it’s not all that bad Look at the view from my office today (al least for the next half an hour). ... At least I get to do it all in the best place in the world My home Cairns

Listen to this awesome review she got today From our awesome customer Maree I had Raymond’s Plumbing install my dishwasher and while here check all under bench piping in kitchen and repair if required. Jessica was our plumber. She was on time, professional and really helpful. She understood what I wanted. Jessica took the time to look at another issue while here. I found he...r very accommodating and thorough. I would highly recommend Raymond’s Plumbing Service. Jessica is an asset to their team. Definitely will be my household plumbing service. This is why I grow so slowly in business in the last 14 years. I take a long approach. 16.01.2022 So excited today. Finally got our new uniforms to match our new sign writing on our cars. And doesn’t it look great?... I like how we can now show what we stand for. Clean, Crisp, New, Adaptable and Refined as well as Established, Strong, Solid, Trusted and Reliable. We have been here for such a long time now. 15 years of slow solid growth adapting to the changing world of plumbing. We do it with intensive training, the best systems and with the latest of technology available. I so love it when long term plans come to fruition. PS - Just a quick plug for All Signs. Thanks for such a quality product with the signs and the uniforms.

16.01.2022 People sometime ask why I became a plumber. I always say.....because I love it Today I got to crawl under an old building through old brick tunnels to fix a burst pipe under the building. ... It was a emergency call out for one of our favourite real estate customers. Called out for a burst pipe, attended with 30 minutes and quickly fixed the issue. It's why I love doing what I do. The variety of work, the rules we have to comply with, the interesting and wonderful customers. It's all so wonderful. This is why for the last 25 years I have been a maintenance Plumber. 25 years of understanding the complexities of our industry. 25 years doing plumbing in this field. Other companies can tell you they can be trusted and relied on. But at Raymond Plumbing we have the experience and we have been in business for 14 years providing this service. 12.01.2022 At Raymond Plumbing I have always had a motto, a plumber leaves better than when they came to the business. Well today Jess and Stuart had a day doing a confined space ticket with Pro-Lift Cairns, one of our preferred suppliers of training in Cairns. At Raymond Plumbing we invest heavily in training. This is but one of the many courses which we empower staff to grow and develop. This year alone we are doing working at heights, Elevated work platforms, TMV and Backflow. ... And this does not include our extensive in house training doing Gutter Training, Jetter Training, Sewer Camera Training, Zip Training, Leak detection Training, Concrete Training and Customer Relations. I believe strongly in having the best staff and empowering them to be great. If you are a good plumber and you aspire to be great, then you need Raymond Plumbing. Raymond Plumbing believes in the strong slow approach in business. Slow methodical development with strong support for our staff. It didn’t take a few months to develop such a strong business. It has taken 14 years.

11.01.2022 Coronavirus webinar with Master Plumber Association Staying back late tonight at work watching a webinar in my office to ensure we know how to manage a potential outbreak in Cairns Already sat down with all staff and had preliminary conversations about how to minimise risk to ourselves and clients. ... We will be dividing our staff into three teams and severely limiting connection between the three groups. So if a plumber needs to work with someone then they will work with one of the three staff in that team. We will also limit contact between admin and plumbers to protect the teams from the admin. If anyone has got even a sniffle we are sending them home and we are also have lowered the requirements to take sick leave. Eg no doctors certificates needed. We have also changed the special use of sick leave and we are allowing it to be used as a wage topper should we require, because of the virus to reduce hours. We haven’t had to reduce any hours as of right now. We have also come up with 100 hours of work around the office to service all equipment, clean up the work vehicles and prepare everything for the recovery which will come. It will come one day. Yes it is true we all have potential risks in the world right now. But we will take every precaution to ensure we are not spreading in this business and also in our society because of us. We also have gloves, sanitiser, masks provided to all staff, but this is nothing new for us. We always provide this all of the time. One thing I will say about my staff. We have made a decision to share the pain all together. No dismissals, reduced hours if needed equally together. I have a fantastic group of people working for me, the best staff in Cairns. Well anyway long share God bless everyone and I pray we all get through this together. Lets be a society who helps each another, something we can all be proud to be a part of. If your neighbour needs something and you have excess, let’s help them out. It’s not a cyclone right now. The roads are open, the factories and farms still making food. Together is more important now than ever before.

08.01.2022 Body Corporate, blocked drains and it's late in the evening on Christmas Eve.....who do you call. Raymond Plumbing of course We were on site with in 1 hour and had the issue cleared, identified and fixed within a couple of hours. ... A quote will be provided by the next work day so it can be fixed permanently. It is a great little setup, I can see where my plumbers are, what they are doing in real time, see what materials are used, that all work is being completed in accordance with the plumbing standards AS3500 and it is all gps tracked. ... What does this all mean..... Everything we do is open and transparent. In fact Honesty, Integrity and Transparency are core values of this business. I love doing this what I do I believe you will too.

07.01.2022 Haven’t posted much lately because we have been flat out like a lizard drinking fixing so many roof leaks around Cairns Here we are 2 stories up, with al of the correct safety equipment, locating and repairing leaks When you need a company to do it right, safely and according to code, give us a call.... 03.01.2022 Massive last day of financial year today. Training some of our staff on our job management systems for two hours this morning. Then visiting a client for a substantial quote for a water re-run.... Back to the office to answer 9 emails, type up 7 reports and 12 quotes. Then finalise all of the invoices which my admin staff require me to process. Then pay all of our suppliers for the end of financial year. Now back to do more quotes until I meet with another client on the way home this afternoon to quote to install some storm water pits. I so love what I do. It has taken me a long time to build up the business slowly and methodically to get it to where it is today. Best 14 years of my life.

02.01.2022 I really like being a Master Plumber Association Of Queensland as a Long Term Member. Such a proactive organisation. Today they are giving businesses advice on how to survive and possibly even prosper during this difficult environment we all find ourselves in. So far their advice has been so beneficial in restructuring the business to a temporary flexible arrangement so staff can keep their jobs and the business operate at the same time. ... In regards to Social Distancing they have helped enormously in coming up with company policies to enforce social distancing in a fair manner We have implemented the following 1 - Plumbers divided into 3 teams of three plumbers which will have NO contact with the other teams. This will ensure if one a plumber get sick only a third of the companies plumbers will need to be quarantined instead of the whole company 2 - Zero tolerance to sickness. If anyone in any role is sick, even a very minor cold, that person does not go to work at all. We have changed the rules in sick leave so plumbers may tap into this without the need to go to doctors 3 - Office admin - also separated divided into two teams - our office administrator Fiona and Trainee as one team and myself as the other team. Our office is a Queenslander so I am socially distanced by working upstairs and do not go downstairs. I have NO physical contact between us. That way is one group gets sick we can still be administered. We have also set up remote administration systems if necessary. I am taking this so seriously because plumbing is an essential service. We want to be part of a safe solution to your plumbing needs My heart goes out to our suffering country. May Blessing be on you all. Let’s do what we can do what we can together. Let’s do what we have to do so we can all get rid of these strange circumstances and begin to live again.

An awesome young man from England. A man who lives for family, his two kids and his wife who he never stops talking about. ... We had a lovey deep conversation about life, family, future, how COVID effected our lives and how it has left us all profoundly changed. Richard is another one of those people Raymond Plumbing collects. A person of awesome integrity and honour. He is another reason why everyone loves us

Today the Boss and our long term employee Emmanuel have done our working at heights course. ... The greatest asset in a business is our staff. Giving them the skills and equipment they need to safely do their job is paramount. That is why we grow so slowly but consistently as a business.
