24.01.2022 What a week it has been here at FarmGate! This has been our biggest week to date with 1050+ cattle listed. Our weekly Eastern States Cattle Sale on Tuesday saw ...a clearance rate of 94%, followed up on Friday with our Special Store & Feeder Sale. Today we had over 110 buyers online driving stiff competition, achieving a clearance rate of 100% and outstanding prices received in all categories. Listings came from Cobram to Coonabarabran and in between with purchased stock heading to Berrima, Wangaratta, Narrabri and Guyra. Standouts from today's sale include: Steers <200kg Angus Steers fetching a whopping 629.78c/kg 200-280kg Angus Steers averaging 548.76c/kg 280-330kg Angus Steers averaging 467.25c/kg Heifers <200kg Angus Heifers drawing prices of 644.84c/kg 200-280kg Angus averaging prices of 476.40c/kg

12.01.2022 MEDIA RELEASE - CURRENT WATER SITUATION: Despite being the middle of summer there are no water restrictions in place for any of the towns across the Warrumbun...gle Shire. With the continued good rainfall in the Timor Dam and Castlereagh catchment areas along with ground water levels being recharged, water supplies have been replenished to a much more satisfactory situation, said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. After several tough years it is great to see our communities being able to care for their gardens once again. Throughout those awful times of drought Council greatly appreciated the efforts that residents and businesses took to reduce their water usage. While we do not have water restrictions in place it is still important that we remain conscious of the amount of water we are using. Residents still need to be wise with their water use, said Cr Doolan.
