07.01.2022 And just like that, 2020 is almost done & dusted, and what a year it has been... The year started with a bang with plenty of sales activity to start the new year, but it soon came to a screeching halt as the uncertainty of COVID kicked in. Luckily, from a health and economic standpoint, South Australia did very well in keeping the virus under control. Then something unexpected happened - out of nowhere, we became inundated with sales enquiries from all over the country. Regio...nal SA seemed to be the place to be. People who had put money aside for an overseas holiday decided that they would direct that money towards a holiday home, while others embraced the work from home mantra. They realised they can live and work (from home) in the pristine and spacious rolling hills of the Fleurieu Peninsula. Throw in low interest rates and Government stimulus, and that has all combined to create incredible demand for homes and land in our area. Properties have been getting snapped up in no time, and quite often for more than the advertised price. Demand has been far greater than the supply. We'd all like a crystal ball to see what 2021 holds, but we see no reason why the current buoyant market shouldn't continue into the new year.
