23.01.2022 Did you know that shaving with a straight razor helps prevent ingrown hairs Getting ingrown hairs from shaving, is incredibly frustrating. And while there are several possible reasons why you might be getting ingrown hairs - one of the primary causes is using a multi-blade razor. Why? ... Because multi-blade razors tug at hairs and pull them up. This leads to you actually cutting the hair follicle beneath the skin which then causes the hair to grow back at an unpredictable angle and possibly as an ingrown hair. The good news is that it's pretty much impossible to cut your hairs beneath the skin with a straight razor because you can’t lift that hair up. Therefore, you are getting a closer shave and without the risk of ingrown hairs. 04.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE: At Razor’s Edge, we are working hard to be extra vigilant to keep our staff and our clients as safe as possible. OUR HYGIENE PRACTICE UPDATE... 1. After EVERY client we will wipe the head rest, the arm rests and the top of the chairs 2. Between EVERY client we will use a fresh cape 3. All barbers will wash their hands thoroughly with warm water and soap between every single client 4. All barbering gear + equipment will be sprayed between clients or sprayed with Barbercide between every cut 5. The EFTPOS machine, seats + all surfaces including door handles will be regularly disinfected/wiped down throughout the day We are committed to making our hygiene practices a top priority.
