22.01.2022 Extremely long day today but have some incredible edges to show for it. This Leatherman Surge is by far the sharpest Multi-tool I have done to date. Last few weeks have been pretty mental, trying to run the shop, pick-up, drop-off, admin, quotes, school runs, orders, training, late night calls to the US & customs, preparing for the markets & most importantly trying to make time for the family. If you've experienced any delays with correspondence I do apologise, doing my best... to juggle everything while run off my feet. 12.01.2022 Ceramic Kyocera Utility before & after. With almost nothing in common with steel as far as material removal goes, the edge on a ceramic blade is formed through microscopic chipping and must be sharpened on something harder than itself, ie diamond, cBN ect. While they don't come up as crispy or insanely sharp as their steel brethren, we can get them on par with a new knife.... For those with an eye for detail pease note that the irregularities on the knife pictured (bevel wider at the heel than the tip) were present at drop off. I sharpen to remove as little material as possible and unless it is a show piece or collectors item it is rarely worth correcting such a thing for aesthetics alone.
