It’s hit a bit differently this time, I think because I had re opened and was up and running for 6 weeks already to then close all over again. But that’s okay, we’re all in this together. I was nearly out of the blue that my client chose so I mixed the next closest shade of blue in and we got this light lilac blue, I loved the way it turned out! . . Who’s missing having their nails done? .... . You should see the way mine look atm.. 15.01.2022 Client selfie love I have been doing @darcie_hamilton brows for a couple of years now! She always gets a brow wax and tint and we adjust the depth of her tint depending on her hair colour, she has gone from the darkest of browns to beautiful bright blonde. When her hair was dark I added in a little bit of black tint every now and then to the natural brown that I use. Now we just use natural brown on its own! . . Does your therapist or brow person consult with you prior t...o getting your brows done? If not they definitely should be! What works for one doesn’t always work for all! Your brow service should be personalised to you and different for each individual client depending on their wants and needs! . . 10.01.2022 Today marks an extra special day RACHEL’S BEAUTY SPOT TURNS 2! I am so grateful for every single person that has had some sort of involvement within the past two years of my business. You have all shaped me into the boss lady that I am. ... Since the 1st anniversary of RBS (given the unfortunate circumstances of Covid) within 6 months I have had 122 NEW clients come through my doors. It has been an extremely challenging time atm and I absolutely can’t wait to get back to doing what I love and seeing all of your beautiful faces. This is not just work for me, it’s my heart and my soul and I can’t wait to continue to grow within the coming years. First I would like to thank all of my incredible and loyal clients, for the continuous support and love right from the get go. None of it ever goes un noticed, you are all the reason I do what I do and I can’t wait to share my new space with you. Rachel’s Beauty Spot is also yours. A space to feel pampered, comfortable and relaxed! To my beautiful mum, you have pretty much let me turn the house into whatever I have needed. You have supported me through every new idea, every hurdle and every win. You are the most loving, supportive and caring woman and I am forever thankful for all you do. My Dad, Nikki, my Sister, my best friends and family, you know who you are! For always showing support, encouraging me, getting me through any bumps along the way and celebrating the small or big things. And last but not least, the biggest thankyou of all. The man behind every part of this renovation. 08.01.2022 Holy lashes this is just from a lash lift and tint. This gorgeous girl had such beautiful long lashes just waiting to be seen.. whether you have little lashes or super long lashes, but they tend to sit more on the straight side then a lash lift and tint is the perfect way to enhance your NATURAL lashes. The results speak for themselves. Lasting anywhere from 6-8 weeks! I did a mixture of light blue, medium blue, bright blue, blue gradients, it was definitely the go to colour for a little while . . What colour will you choose for your nails when you can get them done again?! You’ve got plenty of time to think and prepare

08.01.2022 Yes they certainly do... so in saying that with all beauty being closed you don’t want to be over plucking your brows or even touching them at all! As much as it sucks and I know how hard it is... but this time is actually great for allowing your brows to grow, let them grow out and get all bushy and fluffy because when this is all over it will allow me to work on a complete fresh canvas. Creating that perfect fresh brow look for all of you. For the people that have previous...ly over plucked or are wanting to grow certain areas what better time than now. We can’t go anywhere so we don’t have to impress anyone (other than yourself and maybe your partner) but just think of the end result after all of this is over - some damn fresh brows If you’re someone that really can’t hold off, my tips to you are: - just pluck the strays, don’t touch the actual shape, this can lead to over plucking - when plucking you want to ensure you are pulling the hair in the direction of the hair growth right from the base of the hair. This will stop the hair from snapping, you want to get the hair out from the root - use a good sharp pair of tweezers not blunt ones (that won’t get you very far) - please don’t try to wax your own eyebrows with poor quality products as you don’t want to 1. 04.01.2022 As I’m sure most of you have seen, the new roadmap towards getting us back to a covid free state has been announced. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like I will be able to reopen until at least the end of November. If you have watched my recent story on Instagram you know that I am devastated for many different reasons. Having a small business or any business, that has been forced to close is truly heartbreaking. I know a lot of business owners will be able to relate. ... It’s not just work for me it’s my passion, its where I pour my heart and soul into, its what I love to do, hence the whole reason for me having my own business. But we will all get there, together, day by day. I know for one I need to take it easier, I get so worked up about it all (which is okay) but there will be an end to this one day Amongst this I am grateful for my health, having a roof over my head and for having such supportive and loving people in my life. 02.01.2022 Real talk Like many other small business’ this is my 4th month being closed... devastating to say the least. But it is what it is and I and you all will be okay! In all honesty I’ve been in a bit of a battle with myself, feeling like I’m letting myself down, others around me and my business. But really I’m just being insanely harsh on myself - unfortunately were our own worst critics. Last night I had a bit of cry just with the way I’m feeling and you know what that’s oka...y.. I’m super lucky I have a great support system especially my incredible partner. He gave me a big cuddle and told me it’s okay to feel this way but also going to do all he can at helping me get back to my normal self and getting me back on track! Also gave me a little bit of tough love and told me to get up today at 9:30am and take Lil for a walk first thing, to make my bed and do a few small things to start my day right I think it’s the unknown of when will I be able to re open? When will things change? When will I be able to see my dad? My friends/family/loved ones? As I’m sure all of these thoughts have crossed many of your minds! But we’re all in this together, try and support those small business’ that are able to still run where you can, take each day as it comes and do the best you can even if it that means just ticking off one small task each day or completing your whole list of tasks in 3 hours! . . Just remember everyone is going through an unusual time right now, some people in worse situations than others and some not but that doesn’t make the way you’re feeling about your own situation irrelevant! Feel what you need to feel and talk to someone. A friend, family member, someone you don’t even know well! I am always here aswell for anyone that needs. Some people are coping fine and some people not at all! So remember to check in on your - strong friends - quiet friends - happy friends - creative friends Check in on each other, you don’t know how much it could make someone’s day We’re all in this together.
