25.01.2022 This is so hard to look at everyday, so much hard work, literally blood, sweat, tears and love have gone into building this business over the past 15 years and ...to watch it come to this is gut wrenching. Whilst we are open for takeaway, it has dropped dramatically in lockdown 2.0 And now, they want to remove the few people that were able to get jobkeeper and make them ineligible. I ask our Federal MP Michael Sukkar to bring a news crew and stand in front of us as a long standing local business, a business that supports five families, that employs 12+ young people and has given employment to so many young people in over the past decade and explain to us and them why busineses like ours won't be able to do that in the future because we dont have the support of our Federal MP and our local & federal government. Whilst we may understand the reasoning for only being able to open for takeaway and we can respect that, we cannot understand how our government can sit back and watch hard working families lose everything they've worked so hard to create. Our restaurant may not seem like much to you but it helps keep our local economy going, we have always supported our other local businesses, we provide our service to them but we also buy our produce, wine, dry goods, services, etc from them. We provide jobs where we can to young people for as long as possible. All of that could soon end without MORE support for the hospitality industry, its your lack of understanding to that fact that has hundreds if not thousands of local restaurants/cafes falling to its knees. Take a moment away from your secure 220+k salary and your probable pay rise and sit with us while we watch our business and other businesess like ours disappear NEVER to return. See more

23.01.2022 We've been a little slow on posting here at RBar after the rain dealt us our own disaster on Valentines Day, not only did it affect our upstairs but downstairs too. A big thankyou to everyone that came and helped clean up and to all the understanding customers that were set to celebrate the day of love with us but unfortunately couldn't. It definitely was a hard hit for our new venture, here's hoping 2021 will be a very different year. 12.01.2022 Due to the current situation, RBar & Lounge will temporarily be an extension of our downstairs Da Ricardo’s Restaurant, if you would like to make a booking please contact the restaurant on 9725 0112. At this stage, upstairs will only open Friday and Saturday nights dependant on demand, this may be amended to include other nights. 10.01.2022 We are happy to be back in business. A huge thankyou to all the customers and community that supported us through this time. What a 24hrs, we have been swamped ...with phone calls, emails, online inquiries from customers wanting to book. We really are grateful for the support. Due to the overwhelming response we will be taking bookings via phone only at this stage. Please be patient with us as we navigate through the new rules, get our cleaning schedules in order and training our staff. As much as we would like to be back to normal, this is not where we are yet so your understanding during this transition would be appreciated. Our revised trading hours are Mon & Tues - CLOSED Wed, Thurs & Sun - 5pm to 9pm Fri & Sat 5pm 9.30pm We will only be able to accommodate 20 people per night, so bookings are essential. Masks will be mandatory, however once seated, they can be removed. Tables will be a maximum of 8 and mingling between tables will be discouraged. If we are unable to accommodate your booking this week, our takeaway menu is still available and we would still love your support. We look forward to seeing you all soon.

After months of silence,... listening to the talking and laughter was an incredible feeling. To all our customers that have booked with us, we thank you. 02.01.2022 In October last year, RBar hosted a fundraiser for an amazing brave young man named Jack, it was a special night. Many of you have checked in and asked for updates since then. It's with great sadness that I let you that our friend Jack passed away yesterday. He fought so hard and gave it everything he had. Our unexpected meeting that resulted in us getting to know each other will forever be so special to me. 01.01.2022 Hey all, its Rossette, I just wanted to inform and reassure you all that we are also taking active precautions in regards to the current situation, we have commerical grade disinfectant, our surfaces are being disinfected more regularly, this includes door handles, toilets, pay stations, eftpos machines, etc. Our cutlery and crockery is being washed in our normal but extremely hot dishwasher, this also applies to our glasses. Our staff have been instructed to not come to wor...k if they are unwell. We will endeavour to look after them through this situation. For our upcoming functions, we also ask all our customers to please not come in if you've been unwell or are unwell, please be considerate of us and our other customers health. We will continue to provide our function space until we are instructed otherwise. We hope all our community are taking the extra precautions and we look forward to continuing to provide you our service.
