14.01.2022 It's common to think of pregnancy as a time of hope, love, and joy. However, for many women, it can also be a time of prenatal depression. Prenatal depression is common and occurs more often than you might think. It happened to me and it can even happen to you! It's crucial not to ignore the signs and symptoms: :: 1. Understanding prenatal depression. It's estimated that one out of every four women will experience depression. Prenatal depression occurs during pregnancy and ca...n be triggered by many factors. 2. Common signs. Some of the most common symptoms are thoughts of death and suicide. * The pregnant woman may have ongoing and recurring thoughts about killing herself or others. * Other signs of prenatal depression include never-ending feelings of sadness and hopelessness. The mother may also have anxiety and feel guilty. 3. Depression triggers. * Complications during pregnancy can also trigger depression. If the mother is on bed rest or worried about losing the baby, it's easier for depression to start. The joy of carrying the child is replaced with anxiety, worry, and fear. 4. Treatment options. Treatment options vary, and it's important to discuss them with your doctor. * Women with prenatal depression can find help through therapy. * Both individual and group therapy sessions may be necessary. Discuss these options with your doctor and work out a schedule that fits your needs. * You may also benefit from some medications, talk to your doctor. * Support groups have helped some women with prenatal depression. * In addition, reducing stress and eliminating issues that are causing anxiety can help. * The most important step is to seek help and not ignore the symptoms. 08.01.2022 What’s your absolute favourite way to unwind? :: I breathe in calmness and breathe out anxiety. Each breath I take cleanses my mind. Calmness fills my lungs and spreads throughout my body with each inhalation. Stress and anxiety leave my body as I exhale. I spend the entire day constantly renewing myself as I breathe. Breathing is my anchor to peace and serenity. I am always at peace, as I always take a deep breath, everywhere I go.... .. Focusing on my breathing keeps me in the present moment. There is nothing to worry about in the present, or the past of the future. By remaining in the present, I naturally feel calm and relaxed. .. My ability to relax in stressful situations, continues to grow. I sometimes feel anxious in the most stressful situations, but I am strengthening my ability to cope with them. I am so pleased with my progress. I know I can handle anything life may bring my way. .. My ability to enjoy my life is increasing too. My true self is being revealed by my calm mental state. I am free of stress and anxiety. .. Today, I remember to be aware of my breath and the many benefits it provides. I allow all of my stress and worries to leave my body with each breath.
