RBI Australia is pleased to announce registrations are opening soon for Term 1 of RBI Academy. This is an 8 week skills based high intensity training program, focused on all round essential baseball and softball fundamentals. This is suitable for any age group that can take direction and maintain focus for 20 minutes of instruction and 40 minutes of fast paced work outs. Generally from beginner Zooka/advanced Teeballers to Junior League age groups. Players will be grouped across three time slots according to age and skill level as best as possible accounting for availability. One hour sessions are held on Monday evenings for 8-week terms. First session 02/05/2022 and last session 27/06/2022 (no training on 13/06/2022). Sessions are mostly run at RBI Australia 5/147 Smeaton Grange Road, Smeaton Grange NSW 2570 with some sessions run at a local baseball field when required. There are also optional free Sunday batting sessions available and an end of Term Scrimmage game. The cost is $400 and includes a uniform for first-time registrations (top, shorts & hat). Players returning in 2022 will also get a new uniform. . Participants in RBI Academy will be offered the opportunity to play in tournaments with the South West Rhinos. Positions in tournament teams are subject to availability. Registrations open to the public on 28/02/2022 and close on 01/04/2022. There are limited spots in each class in order to maximise effectiveness with a suitable coach to player ratio. Classes are filled on a first come first served basis.
