23.01.2022 It’s always wonderful when you are given ‘a word in season’ from someone who cares! May we hear the voice of God echoing through our daily lives this week...

22.01.2022 When Paul wrote these words, he had been calling out to God for relief from a problem but, instead, God offered him grace. How often do we pray but turn a deaf ear to God’s response when it’s not the answer we want? Surely we can trust Him to know what’s best for us even if it doesn’t seem that way in the moment. As my mum always says, ‘God is in the business of making lives for eternity’. Have a wonderful day, my beautiful ladies!

22.01.2022 I recently visited my naturopath (a lovely Christian gentleman) after a very protracted season of insomnia. In working to calm my nervous system down, he recommended the Abide app for meditation. It is free, although the free option for each session is only 2 minutes long. (I have found this enough as a beginner). I have been using the app each day for three weeks now and I do find that the scripture and prayer and relaxing soundtrack have helped me at the start of each day to fix my thoughts on God and to slow my breathing. You can select the type of outcome / guidance you want from the app but, at the moment, I am just using the daily update they send me. Today’s was about waiting on God. Just thought I’d share in case someone else is interested.

21.01.2022 Some beautiful encouragement to hold fast to what we know is right and good today...

20.01.2022 Hi ladies, I’m looking forward to catching up via Zoom with you at 10am. Make sure that you have made yourself your favourite cuppa and use the link on the church Facebook page to connect with us. While it’s sad that we can’t head out to the farm to see Rosemaree as we had planned today, it will be lovely to see your smiling faces. See you at 10! M xx

16.01.2022 Reading Lisa Bevere’s book ‘Without Rival’, I found these words both encouraging and challenging. By humbly pressing into God’s presence as I face troubles, I allow Him to complete His work in me as He so faithfully promises to do. God bless you, ladies!

15.01.2022 Ever since Pastor Wayne’s message on Sunday, I haven’t been able to get the question he finished with out of my head... What does love require of me? When He was challenged, Jesus simplified the whole of the law into two key parts of a command - love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength & your neighbour as yourself. It all comes down to love! Everything I do today must be filtered through love. ... Love requires me to * stop and be still in His presence * listen * be obedient * ask for the Holy Spirit’s wisdom and help * wisely take care of and administer the gifts and resources I have been given * pray for others * take action when it is required eg. speak up, give, serve * be vulnerable with others * tell the truth * and so much more... My beautiful Runcorn ladies, can I challenge you to ask yourself this question as you go through everything this day holds for you... what does love require of me?

14.01.2022 Such a wonderful reminder of God’s great love for us... Happy Thursday, lovely ladies!

14.01.2022 Hi ladies, Happy Thursday! Just sharing this in case anyone would like to join in for the week...... M xx

14.01.2022 So, ladies, what does Runcorn Church@home look like for you? Derek & I have got in the habit of making a yummy Sunday brunch & then repairing to the lounge for the service on TV. Would love to see / hear how you are joining in!

03.01.2022 I was chatting with a friend the other day about how important it is to take the time to make good decisions & then this popped up in my feed! It made me chuckle but also feel incredibly grateful that we have ready access to God’s guidance- through scripture, good teaching & the Holy Spirit who ‘guided us into all truth’. Enjoy your long weekend, beautiful ladies!

02.01.2022 Enjoyed a lovely catch up with some of our beautiful ladies this morning! So good to connect again, even if it is via Zoom! Thanks to all the ladies who joined in!

02.01.2022 ‘Worship is our daily affirmation of our divine aspirations’ Ken Costa Through worship, we tie ourselves to God and the knowledge that we have been made for eternity. We seek His thoughts and ways, which are higher than ours. We give thanks for all that He has done and what He continues to do. We put our heart into the tasks we do each day, serving those around us ‘as unto the Lord’. We respond to our Heavenly Father with words or songs that are straight from our hearts. So ...what does worship look like for us on this Friday in Brisbane? * noticing something beautiful in creation and joyfully telling God how much you love His handiwork. * singing your heart out with the worship album in the car or while you are vacuuming. * creating the most beautiful meal you can, with what you have available, to bless your family. * washing up all the mugs in the office kitchen with a joyful heart even though it’s not your job. * sitting in silence as you meditate on God’s word. * declaring God’s words over a difficult situation you are facing. * stopping to ask for the Holy Spirit’s advice / direction before heading into a challenging phone call. * using your abilities to create something from the heart. There is a reason that God told King Jehoshaphat to put the worshippers at the front of his army (2 Chronicles 20:21)... it’s powerful! Have a beautiful day! M xx
