23.01.2022 Congratulations to Wendy Finianos, who put in a tremendous effort to organise the Northern Beaches Annual Fundraising Business Breakfast. Fabulous talk by Stephen Bock on his ascent of Everest. Hosted by Dr Jim Taggart OAM and supported by us, McGrath, Novotel, Resilium, Gremmo Homes and Lifeline to support the Salvation Army. $20,000 raised for those is great need. Thanks to all who supported this event.

22.01.2022 Rotary has been collecting for those affected by fires. Thanks to everyone at the Carols at Manly and Dee Why and at tonight's events at Manly who donated. Ever...y cent will go to those affected by the fires. 14.01.2022 Over the past month, Rotarians have been busy bringing some vibrant colour to Biala Aboriginal Hostel at Allambie. After some necessary but somewhat bland preparation painting we hit the paint pots and brightened things up! Proud of our efforts which complement the new garden beds.

Organised by the Rotary Club of Frenchs Forest, the awards recognise some of the dedicated members of the local police force. Recognition to Graeme Paul who instigated the awards 12 years ago. Attended by Northern Beaches Local Area Superintendant Dave Darcy, Northern Beaches Councillor Sue Heins, Rotarians and, of course, many police officers and one very proud son!

CHOICE is working with the poorest of the poor providing education, health and basic provisions in several villages near Phnom Phen. 06.01.2022 Does anyone have a spare blanket or two? Clean and in good condition? We have access to a container in the Hawkesbury area and with a long winter ahead those who lost much or all in the floods are in need of extra cuddliness. Sadly, no puppies accepted.

The audience learned of the disease, still prevalent in many countries. It is treatable and if caught early & permanent injury can be prevented.
04.01.2022 Our Tree of Joy is at Dee Why Grand. Choose a tag and buy a gift (or vice versa), tape the tag to the gift (wrapped) and take to the tree between 10am and 11am daily (except Sunday) and 1pm - 3pm Saturday and Sunday up until Monday 21st December. The gifts will go to a range of organisations - Bringa Women's Refuge, Lighthouse sole parents group, the Salvation Army and Disaster Relief.

04.01.2022 Help! Plumber needed. Over the school holidays, local Rotary Clubs are assisting with some renovations to the exterior of the Biala Aboriginal Hostel at Allambi...e. Is there a plumber out there who could install a tap? Also a painter or two would be useful. The hostel is term-time home to girls from regional areas so they can increase their educational opportunities. See more

03.01.2022 Rotarians from Dee Why Warringah and Manly collected for our farmers at the the fabulous Manly Jazz Festival. $1895 was raised from the audiences and we thank them. The farmers need ongoing assistance - dig deep and donate when and where you can - every little bit helps.
02.01.2022 So, we were pretty impressed with our painting efforts at Biala Aboriginal Hostel at Allambie. The smooth finish on the brick wall, painted white, pleased us......satisfied we were. But then another "painter" arrived and reworked our efforts. So proud to have played a tiny part in the talented Aboriginal artist Merindah Funnell's fabulous mural! What wonderful additions to Biala! See more

Louis is a member of Northern Beaches Rotaract and its President Brittany was there to wish him well. RYLA participants usually describe the week at "life changing" - we cant wait to hear from Louis!

01.01.2022 Members of our Club met the incoming Rotary International President last July at the Zoom changeover with the Rotary Club of Dhaka, Bangladesh. We partner with Dhaka for the AusBangla Care for Dental program which will resume when health conditions allow.
