23.01.2022 City of Salisbury recognises the important role that sporting and community clubs play in our community and the impact that COVID-19 has had on them. In June we... launched the Sports and Community Clubs COVID-19 Recovery Support Package Grant and we are offering grants of up to $5,000 for affected clubs. At Monday night’s Council meeting the following sporting and community clubs were presented with a cheque for their respective grants: - Pontian Eagles Soccer Club - Salisbury East Neighbourhood Centre - Rotary Club of Mawson Lakes - Para Hills Knights Soccer Club - La Festa di San Giuseppe Association - Para Hills Cricket Club - Salisbury Stitchers - Ferrari Pit Stop Adelaide - The Shed Edinburgh

13.01.2022 Tonight was a big night for our club Firstly to Coopers Alehouse Gepps Cross chefs and staff thankyou for you good food and service District Governor David Jon...es and his partner Lyn visited and brought us up to date with all things Rotary and the special role of Australian Rotary Health Area Governor Rick Henke outlined his ongoing support for the club which is much appreciated To our 5 new members inducted tonight. Congratulations Welcome Councillors Beau Brug and Chad Buchanan, Eve Lartey, Shubhangi Chauhan and Rav Payadachi. To our honorary member Mayor Gillian Aldridge we appreciate your devoted support and your particular interest in our new project supporting victims of domestic violence. Grants were presented by Mayor Gillian Aldridge to a number of sporting and community groups which have been impacted by covid. Mawson Lakes Rotary is proud to be associated with an innovative and community focused council and we will put this grant to good use. Thankyou

04.01.2022 Rotary Mawson Lakes provides practical support for women starting again after experiencing domestic violence Tonight our club announced a new project partnership with Women’s Safety Services SA- Northern Adelaide DV Service. Funded by club funds and matched by a Rotary District 9510 grant, we aim to provide Home Starter Kits for approximately 50 women. Meredith Keage from Women’s Safety Service SA was presented with the first packages this evening by project leader Moira Lewis and president Vineeta Dogra. Former member Jeanette Rich who started the work for the project was able to participate in the launch
