16.01.2022 I love crafting stories. As a child, all I did was go around asking, to anyone who would entertain me, questions about why things were the way they were. I disc...overed very early on that Adults knew far less than kids and if I wanted answers I needed to find them out on my own. So began a lifelong journey to find out why, how, and what. After going through encyclopedias and journals I discovered that our ancestors conveyed wisdom in the art of storytelling. I decided at 11 that I was going to be an author. Dyslexia was an issue and being hyper was a distraction but my love for stories helped me overcome both. I soon realized that people have essentially given up on reading and so decided to explore the art of digital storytelling. I dived into the world of video creation and here I am with Antonia Rapheal Productions. I love bringing myths into my modern-day stories and in this particular video, I talk about an old myth that man and woman were once one. The concept of an androgynous human is mentioned very clearly in Greek mythology by Aristophanes and Zeus is credited with splitting us apart. In creating the video I wanted an old-style rendition, not the polished versions I tend to produce. The story I felt needed a more rough and prehistoric look so I opted for the ancient art of papercutting. The scenes are supposed to evoke a simpler time and thinking. Would love your take on it....

13.01.2022 To have knowledge without understanding is like walking on quicksand, you get nowhere but sink. So Wisdom was created, to help us find peace. Wisdom was created... from the roar of the winds, from the whisper of creation, and from the cry of the deep. She was gentle but fierce, harsh but kind, loving but firm. For it is in the opposites that balance is found, a dance on the edge is where wisdom is born. So mankind has learned that too much or too little is the way of the unwise. Just right is, in the shadow but not quite, within reach but still away, twilight. Those who seek her she guides to the truth and to the eternal. She helps us sieve gold from the dross. She tells us not to look at the outside but to see the beauty within. Not to judge the action but see the intention. Not to value the body but the heart. Not to hear the words but to feel with our guts. So now we must seek wisdom if we are ever to find our better half. And some do, not all, but the wise few. The ones who listen to their heart and hear wisdom speak. We call them lucky, the blessed, the rare, the fortunate. They are the ones who find their true loves and their better halves. For we can no longer be just two but three. Wisdom needs to be the glue that binds us together. To wisdom, we must bind our hearts and our soul. The old ways are never more to be.
