24.01.2022 SiG 33 Gun: The resin gun needed a bit of work as is the case with most resin conversion kits. First up a hole was drilled through the centre for a flash or IR LED. Next it was important to have the barrel recoil. However the moulding was such that there was no "lip" to keep the barrel in place. I guess Profiline just expected you to glue the barrel onto the barrel block. Anyhows, I needed to cut 2 grooves out of the barrel block so the barrel could recoil and then to keep it in place I glued a steel rod down the middle of the barrel block and then magnets on the underside of the barrel. Pics below are of the gun placed upside down.

Free of your Hen...g Long or Taigen tank, MAKO can be put out onto your battlefield in a bunker or Pantherturm and controlled to fire by radio or remote switch. Fully Tamiya IR compatible including the Tamiya 2 shot code PLUS RCTAs machine gun IR and repair codes. Add a $5 SD Sound card module for playback of 12+ user sounds. 16.01.2022 SiG 33 Update: A bit of a jump... Pics here on FB first and then Ill update with more info on the forum as I go. The citadel fitted nicely onto the upper hull. Once in place I removed all of the old Heng Long hull under the citadel so that there was as much room as possible inside. The front tow eyelets were attached to the lower hull and grooves cut into the upper hull so that it could be slid into place. A rear hatch was made operational for access to on/off switch and battery charging.

11.01.2022 NEW PRODUCT - MAKO2020 Yet more improvements to the popular MAKO IR battle board. The onboard voltage regulator now pumps out 5 Amps over the previous 1 Amp. This means more power for your recoil servo and more amps for your IR emitter. With new IR emitter designs now capable of handling more than 1 Amp of current greater IR ranges are possible.

09.01.2022 SiG 33 Recoil setup: Some pics of the recoil and elevation setup I made for the SiG. Done prior to my 3D printer so badly over-engineered in brass :). On Youtube there is a quick vid of the current recoil and elevation action Build was actually done a while ago using cheap HK servos. I will change the recoil servo to a D65 and use a bigger higher torque servo for elevation. My new rule of thumb for elevation servos is to get the biggest, highest torque possible for the space in order for the smoothest action. As you can see in the video the little HK servo can do the job but action is too jerky. Attaching the "stabilizing springs" does improve the action but a bigger servo will be better. https://youtu.be/cU7QSSHnBts

M5 Stuart done though it could do with more dullcote. 3D printed a hedgerow cutter - painted in Russian armour green by accident but it is only fixed on by blutac. Not sure whether to paint in olive drab, weather and add it or not. Might do the T-34 this week. :)
