24.01.2022 Round two of some photos from the Collie Vaulting Camp! Though it was a vaulting camp, ofcourse riding was involved! For some downtime, they were given the opportunity to ride through the beautiful Collie bush!

23.01.2022 As some of you may know, last weekend Fiona Mahoney- a longtime friend and rider of RDA Brigadoon- passed away after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Fiona was the beloved owner of Brigadoon favourite Black Amore and the wife of former RDA President John Mahoney. Her funeral will be held next Tuesday at 1pm at Hetherington's in Maddington. Our thoughts go out to Fiona's family and friends in this hard time.... Rest in Peace dear Fiona. You will be sincerely missed.

23.01.2022 A very generous donation! Our Off the track horse Rambo had a wonderful visit from his previous owner Tina. Tina VERY kindly donated money for an industrial washing machine and we would just like to express a massive thank you to her. The horses will so appreciate the clean saddle blankets and rugs! THANK YOU TINA! :D

22.01.2022 Just got some fantastic photos of the metro games 2015! Though it was a while ago, it's always great to see! First we have a fabulous picture of RDA Brigadoon member Mikayla, riding Duchess Dragon, followed by a wonderful picture of Mikayla and Caidee practicing on the barrels and then Mikayla showing her support!

20.01.2022 Christmas Party date changed: RDA Brigadoon's Christmas party has been moved to Sunday 13th December from 1-3pm Hope to still see you all there!

20.01.2022 URGENT REQUEST: Can you volunteer to help at the Mudd Rush event on Sunday 16th of August between 8AM and 3:30PM? http://www.westernmuddrush.com.au/ Volunteer Activities include: -Pony and carriage rides... -Selling drinks and lollies -Selling raffle tickets/shaking a donations tin Also, if you are or know someone between 9 and 13 years old, the Today show on Channel 9 will be filming and have asked whether we could provide 15-20 children to run through the new kids’ Mudd Rush course. This is on Friday at 8AM. The kids will receive a free Mudd Rush ticket for the actual event on Sunday. Its a very Exciting Opportunity! Don't miss out! Spread the word! Please contact us if and what times you can help. Its a very fun event and your help would be extremely appreciated! Its volunteers that make the day such a successful fundraiser for RDA Brigadoon!

For the first time in RDA Brigadoon history, we will be selling activity bags to provide riders with a chance to learn more about the Brigadoon horses and have fun while doing it! Inside the bag you'll find: a horse puzzle book, a Frisbee, pencils, and unmissable information about RDA. The bags will be available for $10 each! ... 18.01.2022 Lessons Begin! Our fortnightly lessons for our younger riders (4-10 years) starts back March 5th 2016! If you're interested please don't hesitate to contact Sabine at [email protected]. Not only will you learn basic riding skills, horse care skills, and try some vaulting out, but you'll also get to know the horses and make some great friends.... Parents needed to lead a horse or pony. This program is run as a fundraiser for out RDA riders, so please come along and have some fun!

07.01.2022 Next we had the Collie vaulting camp! Vaulting is another activity offered at RDA Brigdoon, and is basically gymnastics on horseback! It's been a fantastic holiday for the Vaulting team as they prepare for the competition in November! Pictured below is Leah, Carmen, Melissa, Mara, Rihanna, Emma & Lois. Unfortunately missing from the photo is Rebekah, Lucy, Daniel, Caidee & Rebecca- all valuable members of the RDA team!... Photos from the vaulting camp will be up shortly!

01.01.2022 Can you guess which RDA Brigadoon horses modelled for the painting below? Children’s storybook illustrator Belinda Morris came to our Centre in July and painted two of our obliging horse models. The painting is titled ‘Smooch’ and is to be raffled at the Mudd Rush on Sunday.
