21.01.2022 MOBILE BLACK SPOT PROGRAM Round 5a Now Open The Mobile Black Spot Program (the Program) is the Australian Government’s initiative to extend and improve mobile phone coverage and competition in regional and remote areas of Australia.... Up to $34.5 million (GST exclusive) is available for Round 5A. Round 5A will prioritise solutions that will provide new and improved mobile coverage to natural disaster prone areas and designated major regional and remote transport corridors. Round 5A may also support projects that trial/pilot new technologies and delivery models that provide proof of concept for new ways to extend and improve mobile coverage and competition in less populated and traditionally higher-cost regional and remote areas. Potential applications need to register their interest by 16 December 2020.

If regional employers have vacancies to fill they should consider exhibiting at the Virtual Jobs Fair.... The National Harvest Virtual Jobs Fair is being held online on Thursday, 19 November 2020 with local times as follows: 1.00 pm 5.00 pm (AEDT) NSW, ACT, VIC & TAS 12.30 pm 4.30 pm (ACDT) SA 12.00 pm 4.00 pm (AEST) QLD 11.30 am 3.30 pm (ACST) NT 10.00 am 2.00 pm (AWST) WA Exhibiting is free, providing employers with the opportunity to showcase job opportunities and connect with enthusiastic job seekers looking for work. 19.01.2022 COACH & OFFICIAL EDUCATION SUBSIDY $1000 grants are available to regional sporting coaches and officials to support regional sport Regional coaches and offici...als to receive up to $1,000 to help improve their skills The Coach and Official Education Subsidy is to assist with travel and accommodation costs incurred in attending accreditation courses Online applications close at midnight on November 23 Applications are now open for volunteer coaches and officials in the Kimberley Region to receive up to $1,000 to support skill development and accreditation. The funding is to assist volunteer coaches and officials in regional WA with out-of-pocket travel and accommodation costs to participate in sport-specific courses to obtain high-level accreditation's. The subsidy can be for travel undertaken between September 1, 2020 and February 28, 2021. The subsidy is available under the Coach and Official Education Subsidy administered by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries. While this subsidy is being run as a pilot program, the intention is for it to be incorporated into an expanded travel scheme alongside the existing Regional Athlete Travel Subsidy Scheme. 16.01.2022 Funding opportunity for Broome community groups Broome’s not-for-profit organisations, sporting groups and community organisations are invited to apply for a grant of up to $5000 from the Shire. The Shire of Broome provided a helping hand to local community groups earlier this year by providing over $50,000 in funding to a range of worthy recipients as part of the COVID-19 Community Support Package. A new round of funding is now open, with local groups able to apply for a one-off grant of between $2000-$5000, which should cover up to 50 per cent of a project’s cost.
