Regional Development Australia (RDA) is a Government initiative that brings together all levels of government to enhance the d...evelopment of Australia's regions. West Australia has nine RDAs - Rda Goldfields-Esperance, Regional Development Australia Great Southern, Regional Development Australia Kimberley, RDA Mid West Gascoyne, RDA Peel, RDA Perth, Regional Development Australia Pilbara, RDA South West, and RDA Wheatbelt. Through collaborative work with governments and RDAs, we are growing strong economies in WA’s regions and attract investment. Last night I had the pleasure of attending the Australian Regional Development reception at Parliament House. I spoke with many passionate West Australians, including those pictured here; Colleen Yates and Keith Ellis from the Perth RDA, and Tony Simpson from Pilbara RDA. 01.01.2022 The Assistant Minister for Regional Development and Territories, the Hon. Nola Marino MP, has finalised appointments of Chairs of Regional Development Australia (RDA) Committees across Australia. I am pleased to announce the reappointment of Keith Ellis as Chair of RDA Perth to 30 June 2025, the Assistant Minister said. Keith has a long history in marketing and leading local government, having been the Shire President for Serpentine Jarrahdale. Keith has led RDA Perth over ...a number of years with the development of state-wide initiatives such as Lithium Valley and Security and Defence in Western Australia: An Economic Perspective. Keith will lead RDA Perth under a refreshed RDA Charter and capital city RDA focus to identify and connect Western Australia’s regions through economic development and identifying investment opportunities that will help to create regional jobs and economic growth for our regions. This will build on the good work already undertaken by RDA Perth in these areas. I look forward to working with Keith Ellis and the RDA Perth members and staff over the coming years and encourage the community to reach out to their RDA to discuss how it can help business succeed.
