23.01.2022 Manufacturing Modernisation Fund - Round 2 Webinar Applications for the Manufacturing Modernisation Fund Round 2 are now open.... The Manufacturing Modernisation Fund (MMF) is a key initiative of the Australian Government’s $1.5 billion Modern Manufacturing Strategy. Delivered by AusIndustry, the MMF is helping to modernise our manufacturing sector by stimulating business investment in new technologies and processes through co-funding capital investments. The Program Guidelines and Application Form can be found at: www.business.gov.au/mmf. Applications close 5pm AEDT (4pm Qld) on Thursday, 21 January. AusIndustry will be hosting a webinar to provide an overview of Round 2 of the Manufacturing Modernisation Fund, including eligibility requirements and key points from the assessment criteria. As well as general tips for presenting a strong application. Under Round 2, eligible projects must align with one or more of Australia’s six National Manufacturing Priorities, identified within the Strategy as targets areas where Australian manufacturing can achieve scale and generate future growth: resources technology & critical minerals processing food & beverage medical products recycling & clean energy defence space The Strategy aims to assist Australian manufacturers to scale-up, improve their competitiveness and create jobs for now and into the future. She was instrumental in negotiations to legally recognise the traditional customary adoption practices of Torres Strait Islander families, which led to the introduction of a landmark Bill to the Queensland Parliament. A careful easing restrictions as Queensland continues its recovery from the pandemic. From 4pm on Tuesday November 17:... Up to 50 people can gather in homes and public spaces across Queensland Person limits in indoor premises will increase from 1 person per 4 square metres to 1 person per 2 square metres Up to 200 people can attend weddings and funerals, and all guests can dance at weddings, both indoors and outdoors Seated, ticketed indoor events like theatre, live music, cinemas and sports can increase patron numbers from 50% to 100% Outdoor events can have up to 1,500 people attend with a COVID Safe Event Checklist. 01.01.2022 The RDATN board held its monthly meeting in Port Douglas today. We had a very productive meeting with Mayor Kerr and his team followed by presentations from two... exciting local projects. We were fortunate to meet with the team at Mossman Mill and enjoyed a tour of the operations. I have to say notwithstanding Covid there is a certain vitality and positive energy in Douglas .
