25.01.2022 Proud of who we are!

23.01.2022 Do you have a radar detector in your vehicle? Last month it became illegal to have one of these in your car - working or not. If you're caught with such a device you'll be issued with an on the spot infringement of $1200 and seven demerit points. It's worth noting that on a double-demerit weekend this will result in the loss of your licence. https://www.rsc.wa.gov.au/Rules-Penalties//Radar-detectors

16.01.2022 Driving when fatigued can slow your reactions and decisions, resulting in poor lane tracking and maintenance of speed - and this could lead to a serious road accident. Early danger signs of fatigue include: - wandering thoughts; - missing a gear, road sign or exit;... - slowing unintentionally; - braking too late. Signs you need to get off the road: - yawning; - blinking more than usual; - having trouble keeping your head up; - you notice your eyes closing for a moment or going out of focus; and - you forget driving the last few kilometres. The five hours between 1am and 6am are the most risky for fatigue related accidents and 7.5 hours sleep or more per night is recommended to avoid fatigued driving.

10.01.2022 We talked about safe driving and alcohol, seatbelts and driver fatigue at Clontarf last week. Pictured are a couple of the guys having a go with our ‘drunk goggles’ to help illustrate the effects of alcohol on our senses. Catching up with Clontarf and assisting with driver education is something we are really proud of - a highlight on our calendar!!
