25.01.2022 Got this massive rock out for a local flower farmer, a favour returned after he got me un-bogged a couple of months back! It would completely buried in his veggie patch, and did a lot of damage to his rotary hoe when he was prepping the beds, when it was first discovered. With a lot of levering, packing up, and dragging, we got it out in about 45 minutes.... Dimensions are 1500x1000x500mm. Granite weighing 2.6t per cubic meter, that’s 1.95t! 24.01.2022 Did meself a mischief today. Went to our private tip site today to get rid of a small amount of dirt. The hillside running down into the gully was super slick and got myself stuck up against the bank, basically jack knifed with zero traction.... Keith on the trusty 1960 Massey Ferguson tractor to the rescue. The old tractor pulled me right out, uphill like it was nothing, god I love old gear like that. 11.01.2022 35 piers at 450x600 for @bluepoolsmelbourne today in Belgrave Heights. Super last minute, got a phone call yesterday around 12pm asking if I could do this job ASAP. The piers were an addition from the engineer after clay wasn’t yet discovered in the top 1.6m of the dig, so piers had to be drilled for reinforcement. This pool is going to be pretty awesome once it’s done, with a wet edge and decking, paving etc. #RDHExcavations... 07.01.2022 Nearly done on this big shed cut in Yea. 15x10m @ 0.7-1.4m deep. About 120 cube has been dug in 2 days on the 1.7t digger. The whole area had to be ripped in 3 drops due to hard ground, we reached the slate layer in the deepest corner at 0.9m deep, thankfully it’s pretty easy ripping....
