19.01.2022 Administering local cemeteries will be the subject of the next social meeting of the Rosedale and District Historical Society on Sunday 4th of August. Sharyn R...ees, secretary of Sale and Rosedale Cemetery Trusts will speak about important matters that families need to know when loved ones pass away and the remains or ashes need to be interred in a cemetery. Right of Interment is one of many forms that grieving families or friends are asked to sign by funeral directors and Sharyn will explain the importance of families knowing their responsibilities. Sharyn will explain that cemetery trusts are charged with overseeing all activities in a cemetery and families need to be aware of the regulations if they wish to make changes to family graves. A BBQ will be held at 12 noon and the presentation will follow at 1.30pm at the society’s rooms in the 1913 Rosedale Shire Hall at 1-3 Cansick Street Rosedale.
