17.01.2022 Having fun at the beach over our Xmas break
11.01.2022 My Competition Scent Dog Training program came about when I was looking for something to do with my Operational Detection Dogs as they come closer to retirement from active duties. I am always looking for something for them to do to stay mentally and physically active. I found this fantastic sport is becoming very popular here in Australia and started one of my retired Detection Dogs in the sport! As she was already of the understanding about searching all I had to do was ‘i...mprint’ her to the new odours and she now has a fantastic time ‘searching’ for her odour with NO PRESSURE! and we both are loving it! I have been handling and training professionally for about 10 years now and have ‘tweaked’ my training program to be able to suit all dogs no matter breed, age, or temperament... They all can have a bunch of fun doing what they ALL were genetically designed to do - HUNT!
