23.01.2022 Finished spraying house across the road from us this morning.

22.01.2022 Replaced rusted gutter clips today on a 2 story set of units. Doing in stages. Still 3 sets of units to go and theyre 3 story

21.01.2022 We are getting there with our 2 story external. Lower level complete (well still a small section of gutter n fascia to do.) upper level eaves and walls done today. Tomorrow on to upper level gutters n fascia. Just need the weather to be on our side. Still have garage and shed roller doors to do plus the roof. Winds have been almost gale force. Looks like sunday our best chance

21.01.2022 Welcome back peeps. We had a very chilled one week bi-annual break (Ps wasnt long enough) Started this very big roof Thursday. Took 3 hours to mask up polycarbonate sheeting, gutters and front entry over roof. Managed to get Acryloc primerbond restore on and 5 flanks of first coat colour (CRC in Pale Eucalypt) before a massive rain cloud built up over our heads. Absolutely no warning. Buggered up half a big long flank. Bailed for the day. Grrr very frustrating. I was constantly watching the sky, as I said no warning. Back today, fix up a bit of masking and into it. Got it done. Yay

20.01.2022 Progress this week. Started a full wrap on Monday. Richard had to install a roof vent before roof could be sprayed. Spray (Colorbond Surf Mist) Had to be done over 2 days due to roof only receiving full sun for about 2 hours. Whilst waiting for it to be dry enough from overnight dew we started on eaves and gutters. Roller doors sprayed with Colourbond Dune same as gutters. Eaves are builders white and walls coming along nicely in Shale Grey. Only have the back to do and inside garage. Doing a few extras too. Client asked if we can put in new letterbox, garden hose reels and fold out clotheslines. Theyve not done anything to house in 13 years and so far as soooo happy with results. Gone is the classic cream walls and cottage green gutters

20.01.2022 Started this roof in Tolga Sunday. Being so much cooler on the tablelands it has (cause not finished) become a battle with nature. Did partial re-screw, masked up and only managed to get Acryloc Metal and Galv primer and 1st colour coat (cottage Green CRC) on before it became way too cool. Tried again this morning but mizzle shit came through and cold. No go. So it was drive to Yungaburra where we were due to start an external. (Half hour drive away.) Fingers crossed weather for tomorrow is more favourable.

18.01.2022 Job done n dusted. Finally got roof sprayed yesterday. Was all done a little backwards thanks to the weather so after de-masking, touch ups had to be done to the walls. Tape pulled off fresh paint. Roof is Acryloc CRC in Shale Grey Eaves and walls in Taubmans Snowflake and gutters, fascia, roller doors and posts in Bristol Rune Stone Such a transformation from the cream and cottage green. More modern

17.01.2022 Mini job today. Patch after wall a/c removal then sand the Tuscan feature wall and paint entire bedroom and en-suite

17.01.2022 Almost done with upper level gutters n fascia One mini high gable barge cap at the front but winds too strong. Richard did the really high stuff using a roller pole and brush extension. Being that its flexible he didnt want to risk it with the strong gusts. Such talent that man has. No way I have the control to do it. I did the easy and low stuff. Still have garage and shed roller doors to spray oh and the roof. Looks like Sunday going to be the best wind wise

16.01.2022 Part way through a 2 story split block re-paint. Split block going from mission brown to Haymes Chimney Ash and boards from faded cream to Dulux Lexicon. Certainly been a challenge. Really dislike split block.

15.01.2022 Started a partial internal today. First up was to rid the aubergene feature walls. Managed to get a fair amount of the living areas completed and main bathroom. Luckily the walls were in good condition and only a few patches needed.

15.01.2022 Quick job this morning. Whilst I did a partial re-screw on this multi level house, Richard had to lift the four corners of ridge cap and roof sheets in order to access the gutter joins. Never have I seen such a mini gap between roof sheets ends and gutter. I couldnt even get my hand in (and Im mini). All joins were leaking badly.

15.01.2022 Full re-screw yesterday and sprayed today. Same colour as it was - Paperbark Used Acryloc Restore Primerbond and 2 coats of Supacool heat reflective. Also repainted the gable boards as were looking very sad. Came up mint

15.01.2022 Update on roof n gutter job from Tuesday. Ripped alll the old gutters off and All new gutters on front and back are on with all new downpipes. plus got rid of the canary shit green (as client called it) on barge cap n fascia in a much more modern Monument Client super happy

15.01.2022 Today was a mish mash.. divide and conquer Richard was up repairing gable timbers then painting whilst I was dealing with a ceiling with water damage. We were then both up on the roof replacing rusted gutter guard clips on the 2 units. Very thankful it was overcast.

14.01.2022 A little something different. I painted these kitchen splash back tiles. Using White Knight tile system. Came up awesome. We also painted a new bathroom and toilet plus prepped and glossed new timberwork. Owners had some walls removed to open up the living area.

14.01.2022 Yay our 2 story split block and weather board is done. Also did the louvres on side of house, they came up great. Richard also had to remove wallpaper from stairwell and paint. Glad I wasnt watching, he does some crazy stuff in order to access. House looks so much more modern. Client super happy

13.01.2022 Quoting in Tolga and Yungaburra today. Little bit moist

13.01.2022 Divide and conquer we did. Richards day however was re-pointing. Client was getting water in. He also had to climb through roof cavity repairing the saking. I think I had the better end of the deal

12.01.2022 Got to play with a cute little toy yesterday. Had posts to etch and gloss on this 2 story house. Great view to the ocean too

11.01.2022 Winds were against us with this tile roof. Managed to get the Acryloc Mould Rid and Primerbond Restore on yesterday but that was it. Today 2 coats of Acryloc CRC membrane in Pale Eucalypt. As wed had a light shower overnight so had to wait ages for roof to be dry. A few threats of a shower. I was constantly watching the radar and sky but success, got it done

11.01.2022 Yay the sun was shining today so we our external finished. Mind you was still blowing a gale. Couldnt keep a hat on if my life depended on it. Annie went for same colours (had to colour match the walls) as she liked it but was old and faded. Got rid of the contrast on the feature bricks to soften them and blend in.

11.01.2022 Yay we finally got Tolga roof finished. Was wet as a shag at 9am. Couldnt get up and spray til 10am. Just happy we got it done. Then it was back to Yungaburra to continue Pics coming. Its a bizarre house on lake tinaroo

10.01.2022 Started this job last Thursday. Owner removed solar panels as rusty screws underneath. Full re-screw then sprayed on Friday. Acryloc Supacool in Paperbark. Monday started the external. Eaves and walls in Taubmans Pebble Bay Quarter using Haymes Solashield satin, gutters, fascia and garage doors in Colourbond Riversand. Owners were totally awesome and pruned to give us access and removed all light fittings, fan and clothesline. Saved us soooo much time. Theyre avid gardeners... so protection was needed for their veggies to avoid overspray. Had both our spray machines on site - baby (our Graco magnum pro x-9) which we use for garage doors etc and the bitch (cause shes heavy to get on and off the ute - Graco ultra Max II 795 which we use for roofs) so we could both spray making the job quicker too. The timberwork on the gables were also brought down, sanded and 2 coats of Simply Woodcare Dexpress natural, came up mint. The mauve house is no longer and owners are super happy as is their gorgeous puppy Kobe. Dogs and drop sheets they love them. See more

09.01.2022 Today we had to divide and conquer. My morning was sanding the fronts of all these skirts then quick dry. Took forever as phone kept going off. Had hoped to gloss but ran out of time .

09.01.2022 This morning we were back to yesterdays job and re-screwed patio roof, carport roof then had to do some creative gutter installing. No fascia so couldnt use gutter clips so Richard had to modify the gutter ends to slip into the carport side steel frame. Turned out really well. Whilst we were there next door asked us to look at her roof and provide a quote. She knew she had rusty screws but what she didnt know was how bad a condition the roof was in. Holes everywhere and s...erious lap rust. Roof is beyond repair but Richard being Richard he couldnt walk away and not help her out. Best we could do was to wire brush, rust converter then patch the holes with flash tak. At least she is water proof for a while. That was our good Will gesture for the day. Didnt charge her but I did score a heap of plants. Richard couldnt walk away and leave it, she now needs to save for a new roof on a pension. See more

09.01.2022 Did a full re-screw Wednesday then sprayed today. Client had Dulux Acratek heat reflective in white but was sick of the mould. So it’s Acryloc CRC in Basalt. Richard had to shade break half way through 2nd colour coat. Was 35 on the ground but at least 20 deg hotter up there. The soles of his volleys were starting to melt. Challenging few months ahead with the heat. We’ve started carrying a floor industrial fan so he can try to get body temp down a bit. Is what it is though. That’s the tropics for you. Customer absolutely loves the colour.

08.01.2022 Was a race against the weather yesterday. Right on the beach at Clifton and could see the dark sky rolling in quickly. Had the old skylight out and had to replace with polycarbonate sheets. Omg weve never moved so quickly. Didnt want to get caught with a hole in the roof. Phew just in time

08.01.2022 Day 2 and Im still quickdrying skirts, door and window frames. Richard is now glossing. I havent counted how many windows etc but theres a truckload. Yesterday we had Darian and Freyja sanding them and we chased. Today Freyja (after some instruction from dad) has started cutting in outside.

06.01.2022 Did full re-screw on this roof Monday then sprayed Tuesday. Used Acryloc metal and Galv primer as it lost a lot of original colour then 2 coats of CRC membrane in Woodland Grey. Client super happy

05.01.2022 Just finished up an internal re-paint of the villa (and rusted patio posts) at the tourist park in Millaa Millaa. Sure had some challenges. All surfaces had to be primed with a solvent based sealer as melamine. Used Haymes ultra lock. Stoned big time. As we’ve had rain the last 3 days everything was soooo slow to dry. Brought up our industrial floor fan plus a another smaller one. Today was the worst, no power from 8.30 til 1pm, so trying to gloss by LED torch light. Fun n games. Plus the rain showers, nothing dried. But job done and just in time as villa booked for tomorrow night.

05.01.2022 Started an external on Monday. Battling strong winds then today its raining. I knew rain was coming in so we concentrated on the weather sides whilst it was dry. Today we finished all we can in the dry areas. Pray tomorrow is fine. Thankfully we had a couple of other mini internal jobs to fall back on.

05.01.2022 Masked up yesterday and finished the front gable barge cap and fascia. The bottom of fascia was done with brush on a brush extension and roller pole. Rest done from upper roof. Had hoped to spray house and shed roof and garage doors today as was supposed to be the best day. Woke to it raining. Grrr. Not winning

04.01.2022 Getting there with our 2 story re-paint. We finished up with all the glossing of internal timberwork last Thursday. We had Freyja cutting in eaves outside on lower level and Darian up on the upper level using Haymes Solashield in Taubmans Snowdrift. They have been a great help, although both out with headcolds now. Exterior coming along. Weather has been messing us around a bit. Strong winds so cant spray the roof yet. Now clients having the driveway being sand blasted so cant do the front but all other walls and eaves on lower level done and today we started on posts (Bristol Rune Stone) and lower level gutters and fascia. Bit messy but just have to go with the flow.

04.01.2022 Did a full re-screw. Solar panels had to be removed due severely rusted screws underneath. Acryloc metal & Galv primer then 2 coats Acryloc supacool in Surf Mist. Also sprayed garage roller door in Monument. We removed All gutters too as rusted. I painted the fascia whilst Richard sprayed the roof. Friday we put all new gutters on. Im looking forward to seeing their end result as new patio going on front and back and external walls rendered. The ugly duckling is slowly being transformed.

03.01.2022 Started this external in Yungaburra right on the lake. Weather has been challenging so far. Feeezing cold strong wind off Lake Tinaroo which Im sure froze the paint rather than drying it. Doing this as well as finishing off the Tolga roof. All the timber posts have been sanded back (they were in very poor condition) and used Simply Woodcare Dexpress natural. Fi started on the grey weatherboard, so time consuming. A lot had to be done from the multiple roofs. Picking up a trailer mounted cherry picker for tomorrow.

03.01.2022 Yesterday’s job. Re-paint a laundry and glossing 4 doors n frames. Was nice to be inside for a change. Getting sooooo hot

01.01.2022 Today was painting ceilings. Owner had new cornice put in, new lights and fans. Thankfully the plasterer had patched and sanded (well not all) Haymes undercoat sealer on cornice and patches then 2 coats of Haymes Expression ceiling flat. What a transformation Happy customers

01.01.2022 Finally we got this external in Yungaburra done. Weather been a challenge all week. Bloody cold strong winds coming off Lake Tinaroo, plus sloping block that was sodden which proved painful for manoeuvring the trailer cherry picker around and levelling. Im glad I was around the other side as Richard has some scary moments in the bucket. Mind you I had a plank across 2 ladders and was almost blown off. But its done n dusted.

01.01.2022 Garage doors came up awesome. Haymes Solashield in Dulux Domino. We also painted the eaves in builders white. Clients had already painted the walls, gutters n fascia.

01.01.2022 Today we did 18 slip sheets. Every single sheet end was severely rusted (client had a waterfall when it rained) then full re-screw on rest of house. Its so important to check your roof.

01.01.2022 Did a bedroom repaint today for a mate. Gone is the blue feature wall. Used Haymes New Life in Minimalist 1 for walls and Minimalist 5 for window sills, door frame and door. Wardrobe sliders done in wall colour, Next week he has new charcoal carpet going in, new fan and down lights.
