24.01.2022 A fantastic testimonial from one of our ISO Winter Warriors challengers @photographybymelissahogan I really wanted to share something that I have committed to over the last few weeks with you. As we entered into Stage 4 lockdown I knew I needed to change up my fitness and wellbeing. My 4km jog around Mornington was at times inconsistent. Thankfully @reachyourpeak were offering their Winter Warrior’s program through Zoom. I was feeling a little nervous and not quite gym fit..., however I’m glad I made the decision to proceed as I have more energy, clarity, motivation and my sleep is so much better! If you can’t commit to the scheduled classes it’s easy to access the recorded sessions and complete in your own time. It doesn’t matter what the weather is doing, cold days I’m in the warmth and comfort of my lounge room, sunny days in the backyard. They offer low and high impact options for every exercise and all classes are so varied which I love. Also, once a week we are treated to a lovely Yoga and meditation session with the amazing @jan.winslade Grateful that @reachyourpeak has combined these sessions into the program. Win, win! 19.01.2022 Throwback Thursday to 15th July 2012 when 19 Peak clients and trainers entered the Run Melbourne fun run and raised just over $12k for @abacuslearningcentre in Hastings. They do an amazing job supporting and educating children on the autism spectrum. It’s so lovely to reflect back on this memory of our beautiful peak community, one of my favourites! 18.01.2022 One of the silver linings of covid is all the extra walking people are doing. It’s so great to see so many people out walking. Taking time to walk with their husband, wife, partner, bestie, mate, parent or child. Sometimes it’s fun chat or serious solving of the worlds issues, venting, making future plans, discussing how you’re feeling during lockdown, what you’re watching on Netflix, reading....... it doesn’t matter what’s discussed, what matters is how good it is for you mentally. 08.01.2022 Thanks everyone for zooming with me! It’s our 18th week for the year of being in forced closure, with a minimum of another 5 to go, but it will be more for gyms (of course! ). So we will be looking at over half a year of being closed. I would never have believed we could have survived that. Thankfully our awesome Peak community, including the trainers, have embraced the zoom classes and supported me. It’s so lovely to jump on zoom everyday and see all of your beautiful faces smiling back. I feel very blessed, lucky & grateful. Thank you

01.01.2022 Please welcome our newest trainer to the team Amy Boadle. If you recognise that surname - yes she's Maddy's daughter-in-law! I grabbed this photo quickly on Saturday morning when she was about to head out for a swim session. Amy's aim is to inspire and support her clients to feel stronger and more confident in their bodies. She loves watching the development her clients make from that first session and how mindsets can transform when you exercise. Amy is especially passionat...e about working with women during the pre and post natal phase of their lives. Having had 2 children in the past 3 years and completing further education with a physiotherapist, Amy understands the physiological changes that can occur to the human body and is passionate about women exercising safely throughout this period. Amy has a thirst for movement with a routine involving Strength & Conditioning, Mobility, Yoga, Pilates and has developed a love for open water swimming. Amy also has an interest for Gymnastics based strength training, with gym rings one of her favourite pieces of equipment, and handstands her recent obsession! You'll also find Amy hanging and crawling all over the Peak studio, with primal movement a key fascination. Whatever the method, Amy's approach is to support her clients moving with confidence, consistency and enjoyment.
