Remember people's inboxes are FULL why will yours stand out? Avoid using "Hurry Sale Ends today 50% off" - this is likely to head straight to the spam folder anyway. 18.01.2022 Forgetting to follow up leads is one of the biggest untapped potential we see in businesses...and it can be so simple. Yes there are fancy automated systems that can help you to follow up or create an automated drip campaign. If you prefer a manual system a.k.a "a diary" that's okay too. Whatever you do just don't forget to keep in contact. Here are some of the reasons why people don't follow up: 1. they get busy working with the "hot" leads - those that are ready to buy now.... 2. they don't know how to follow up 3. they don't know what people would like 4. they get busy with other areas of the business and forget to put "follow-up leads" at the top of their daily list. Sometimes people need more information before they buy or they may just need more time to make a decision. We enjoyed a delicious chicken pie on a flight from Kalgoorlie to Perth after running a workshop and I couldn't help but notice the clever marketing on the packet: 1. she includes a story about how she first got started with her book and brings out the emotion of the reader by including passing recipes down in your family. 2. her cookbook competition gets the reader interested to link in to her website.... 3. the QR code gives the reader an easy "opt-in" option 4. the story about how she got started and her philosophy. Her tagline..."Made with Love"! How could you adopt these simple strategies into your marketing?

10.01.2022 Have you got the Right Hook? When contacting your database - make sure you have the right hook otherwise you'll get Hit and Miss Results. If you think about your last email to your database..... - did it have something of interest to your target audience? - did you think about their fears, frustrations, wants and aspirations? - did your hook (lead magnet of offer) provide a solution to some of their challenges? It's a great way to get re-engagement from leads who might have gone cold. It also tells you who is now "warmed up" and possibly ready to buy. Remember - start with a plan!

Start with a plan - when they take action what are you going to do next? Follow up emails or information or a phone call? 2. Take time to think about who you're emailing - rather than just blast everyone with generic boring "vanilla" type email - why not get creative, think of what might interest them. 3. Avoid just trying ...to sell - you will look like you're desperate if you haven't contacted them in a while and then all of a sudden you're offering then something...and it's discounted! 4. Avoid sending a whole bunch of information about your business - start with a short quick question that gets re-engagement.
