22.01.2022 Lovely Yarra Chardonnay with ageing potential. Toasty on the nose and delicate white stone fruit and brioche on the palate. This wine has elegance, complexity and texture. Producer notes that it is made of the P58 clone and barrel fermented.
04.01.2022 Guess now is a good as time as any to drink some of the cellar stock. Tonight we have a 2011 dry Riesling from Domäne Wachau. Very well made and even with 9 years of age is still showing crip acidity and citrus flavours particularly lemon pith on the palate. It has developed some strong lanolin and kerosene notes with its time in bottle and will be the perfect accompaniment to the pan fried flake, garlic asparagus and broccoli that's on the stove.
