09.05.2022 Kate's Read3 Admin inbox is literally filled with dozens of messages like this: Hi Kate, I am loving the Read3 program and it simply makes sense! I especially love the curated resources that support the lessons.... The Read3 program is simple, but effective. Hundreds of children and their parents are working through the program around Australia and are loving the simplicity. Read3 follows the Science of Reading approach to learning, applies strategies to support children with weak processing skills, and then provides it all in a games-based format. Send us a DM to learn more!

24.04.2022 Need help using Read3? Read3 has been carefully designed to enable parents to work through the program independently with their child, but sometimes families like the additional support of a Speech Pathologist or specialist literacy tutor. Whether you're wanting help getting started, someone to touch base with once in a while, or a weekly appointment, we've got you covered. ... We have a network of Speech Pathologists and specialist literacy tutors around the country who are proficient in the Read3 program and are able to offer additional support if you need it. Here's some of the Queensland-based practices. DM us for the complete list. #learningtoread #speechpathology #speechtherapy

13.04.2022 A simple mantra for 2022. Yesterday as we celebrated the completion of our 2000-piece family puzzle it occurred to me just how much can be gleaned metaphorically from this humble achievement. And more specifically how well it captures the plans and hopes of every parent or professional who has ever worked with a struggling reader. So here's a little something to take with you into the coming year. ... Tackle the unknown just because you can't see where you are heading yet doesn't mean you wont, or that you shouldn't start. Be persistent a little concentrated effort every day makes all the difference. Have patience that mountain of individual pieces/problems can be overwhelming, but with time you'll see progress. Seek connection none of us can do it alone and many hands make light work. Celebrate the results every step forward, no matter how small, is something to be proud of. And when things get tough, focus on the big picture - pull out that puzzle box take a good hard look and plan your next move. There is always a solution. We look forward to connecting and celebrating with you in 2022. Happy new year everyone. K & R xx

08.04.2022 Robyn was recently re-reading a paper by educational psychologist, and literacy legend, Dr Linnea Ehri. Snuck into the conclusion, Ehri shared a series of classic quotes, one of which really struck a chord for us here at Read3. Don’t always follow the crowd, because nobody goes there anymore. It’s too crowded. When it comes to supporting early literacy development in children with processing difficulties some of the evidence-based strategies recommended internationally are... a little different to the 'Science of Reading' recommendations for typical beginner readers. We're pretty clear about what they are because Robyn has been exploring the research in this area for over 20 years. So while we celebrate that everyone is now starting to get on board with the 'Science of Reading', Read3 is busy delving further into the Science of NOT Reading! It's a different path, a less crowded path, but one that is full of intrigue and adventure. We love our less travelled path. And we love that a crowd is starting to form over here with us. PS. If you're interested to know what Robyn was reading, it was "Learning to Read Words: Theory, Findings, and Issues" By Linnea Ehri

21.03.2022 With the school year well and truly wrapped up, and 2022 fast approaching, we wanted to take this opportunity to say a heart-felt thank you for your interest and support in Read3 over the past year. To meet so many dedicated professionals during our professional learning sessions has been inspiring, and to hear updates from parents and professionals about how our Read3 kids are progressing has been quite the highlight. Full disclosure, we get quite the thrill every time we ge...t news that a child has moved to the next step. We look forward to connecting with you all in 2022, and to delivering the best possible evidence-based intervention for your struggling readers. All the best for the festive season, Robyn & Kate
