22.01.2022 It has come to our attention that our patients did not realise that Medical Acupuncture is rebatable via Medicare for GPs who are Fellows of the Australian Medical College of Acupuncture. A standard acupuncture consult (item 193) is at $80 with a rebate of $38.20 from Medicare. Aged pensioners are bulked billed according to our billing policy.

09.01.2022 Registered Nurse Position Available Part Time Practice Nurse Required with the potential of going Full Time. We are a privately owned centre currently with 7 Doctors. Our doctors service all areas of general medicine; specialising in the areas of chronic disease care and dermatology/skin cancer management and surgery.... Our centre prides itself on providing accessible healthcare for all members of the community. To assist us in continuing to deliver these services, we are looking for an experience Registered Nurse to join our team. This position is covering maternity leave but will be ongoing upon return of current RN. In this role, you will work collectively with our General Practioners and practice staff to continue providing care for our patients. You will however be required to work autonomously with the ability to prioritise tasks. The key duties for the position are listed below; Assisting GP’s with procedures including excision of lesions, wound care, removal of sutures, ear syringing. Performing ECGs/ Ankle Brachial Indexes/ Spirometry. All immunisations. Childhood, catch up and seasonal vaccines. Health assessments. Support GPs in the preparation of care plans & item 10997. Effective management of patient reminder systems. Assisting GPs with monitoring patient clinical outcomes. Triaging patients and prioritising emergency situations. Completing sterilising of all surgical tools. Managing vaccine stock, ordering of vaccines. Managing stock levels for all medical supplies, ordering of medical supplies. Maintaining stock in all consulting rooms and treatment room. Maintenance and management of the treatment room. Coordinating patient care with local support agencies. The requirements for this role are listed below; Current RN AHPRA registration. Previous experience working as a General Practice Registered Nurse. Previous ED/ Surgical Theatre/ Procedural Room experience desirable. Care Plan and Health Assessment Planning. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritise. Ability to work autonomously Well-presented. Vaccination Certificate. Eligibility to work in Australia required.
