25.01.2022 A really #real post . This is @stevemeyer7, The first 2 photos are his before and afters when we were working together from April 2018 to November 2018, 110kg to 74kg in 7 fkn months! Exceptional work! . The 3rd photo is now and at 92kg, yes correct still 18kg off his heaviest but also 18kg off his best. How, why? We still tracked and measured in 2019 but he had periods of time where other aspects of life prioritised over training, buying a house, getting engaged (as it shoul...d). Steve is a high achiever in his work life and people like this generally adapt the all or nothing approach when it comes to diet and training, which as you can see with the first 2 photos works well but the 3rd photo is also an all to common occurrence in people like that as well. . If I can’t train then I’m not motivated to diet and one day can turn into 1 month very quickly and this issue with being so goal oriented but also knowing you can drop the weight whenever because you have, is it’s so so easy to start Monday and it never happens. . Sometimes you need to have lost something to value it and I believe this is the case here and with a lot of you but the problem is starting again can be fkn hard and you can easily fall Into the I’m still leaner then what I was . 23.01.2022 #highbar #backsquat . Same as last week, done after lots of #leg press . This is 150kg, 10kg more then last week and I wanted 10 reps, same as last week... . Got to 9 #reps and have now learnt there is no grinding a high bar with #fatigued #legs . I thought it was there, I had not doubt it was there and then it stopped . 22.01.2022 WARNING pretty intense videos showing an injury occur, my advice would be watch it with no sound first but you have been warned . Here it is the failed 310kg squat . I have been training for almost 20 years now, never had a significant injury and feel (still do) like I am pretty in tune with my body, so what happened?... . When I play the video in slow mo (1/10th of a second) you can clearly see the left patella tendon go first which cause the domino effect into both quads in under 1 second . Mikey and Sam you guys did an amazing job in making this no worse then what it had to be, it’s not something we had ever discussed and definitely not practiced . To my wife Vanessa, this made some pretty big changes to our Xmas plans, you have been beyond amazing. No one ever wants to test a relationship but when it passes with flying colours it’s a pretty damn good feeling, I promise I will not squat again in 2020 . I waited to post this so I could first grasp my recovery plan and TBH have not wanted to watch it myself , but now I can see the road ahead I’m happy to share my really shit squat day, and I’ll keep sharing my progress as we go . 20.01.2022 #bench with a pause 140kg for 8 reps This is a #pb (post leg explosion of course)... @thebodyandstrengthguy for letting me only think about my squatting and demonstrating to me that all the stuff I say just may have stuck in there. The plan is to run the bench back up to a double on 170 See more

16.01.2022 #deadlift day . 160kg for 5 reps this was the same Rpe as the 150 but I will discuss with the rehab master @andrew_lock_strength what I should do next session . This felt good, I did 4 sets #goodday
14.01.2022 #rehab milestone body weight #squat The ghosts in the machine will know - @andrew_lock_strength said that to me in conversation the other day and it spoke to me on such a level that I can not explain it So with that in mind here is a 90kg (body weight) for 5 reps ... I did this after 80kg for 8 reps These squat sessions are something else to me I can not explain, it’s mentally like being in a cage with something that can kill you but you know it won’t but you don’t fully trust it won’t. It’s hard to explain.
13.01.2022 Since the 19th of March and now I have done 1 rep on a weight over 150kg, why? Well a program should change drastically every 4-6 weeks and I have used #bench as my prime horizontal push for about the last 3 years . Here is a 190kg paused rep #good . Objectively it’s not progress but subjectively, I’m 15kg lighter compared to the last time I touched this weight, it’s completely un programmed or what I call a cold lift (basically it has not been ramped up to)... . So it’s good, I’m not sure if I will re priories the heavy lifts with bench as if I do I’m pretty confident it would fk my dumbbell press progress . #thatrealguy See more
11.01.2022 #realtalk What the fk is it with my industry these days Have all the big gyms changed their prerequisites for pts from being able to coach and have sales skills to having a face so full of Botox that it now looks like a dropped pie or to being the fat guy who lost weight, has a bicep vein and is now an expert on life long good nutrition and training habits ... I’m all for having a go, 100%. Gotta start somewhere or some bullshit like that, I agree. I am not against that. At all! But please, please fuck off. If your face is so full of Botox your #faceID on your phone tells you to get fked, then you have ABSOLUTELY NO FKN right to make teaching women to love their own bodies your fkn agenda! Cunts like you are a cog in the machine that causes women to hate themselves! Do not listen these idiots. Do not look up to them and aspire to live the #fitness lifestyle. The majority have only fans as their main income source and have a solid coke habit (not talking about the zero variety) Real women with morals who have solid jobs that hustle hard and will occasionally have a body part that jiggles after a month of telling their diet to fuck off are the shit! 10.01.2022 No training for 7 days will physically be nothing, could argue it would help you get a little cns over compensation and you could come back #stronger! However if you just say fuck it and eat like a cunt then yes you will get fatter but that has ZERO to do with not #training If you go the other way and #starve yourself cause you have been brainwashed to think your #activity levels are down so you do not justify your usual levels of #food, then your first sessions back wi...ll be crap and that will make you blame not going to the #gym but it’s not that Plus if you go that route, I fkn promise you by the end of day 2 the combination of Boredom and being hungry will result in you eating like a cunt Just eat your normal diet and chill See more
