Meet Michelle Law Michelle Law is a writer and actor working across print, theatre, film and television. She wrote the smash-hit play Single Asian Female, which has sold out seasons and continues to tour across Australia. Her screenwriting work includes the SBS show Homecoming Queens, which she co-created, co-wrote and starred in. Michelle has been awarded a Queensland Premier's Young Publishers and Writers Award, and two Australian Writers Guild awards. Her latest play, Miss Peony, will be staged at Belvoir St Theatre in the near future. This month we are support StepTember - a charity raising awareness for cerebral palsy. 02.01.2022 DIVERSITY This is a song I wrote in 2013 for my show called Viet Kieu - Australian Vietnamese No 1 outcast. This song is about Racism I faced as a child, in my career forging my way as an artist in Australia.... At this time I was exhausted by the industry. I was tired of trying to be seen and I took 2 years off from theatre until I performed again in 2015 with Phi and Me. Recently there's been a diversity storm in the Australian musical theatre scene and I can't believe we are still saying, " SEE ME." #robguestendowment Thank you to @VidyaMakan and team for your heart and kick ass song "I need to be seen."
