24.01.2022 On Tuesday 19th September, a small select group of our True Blue Volunteers spent the day helping with the final tasks to close down the Nulsen Haven Op-Shop after 47 years in business. What an experience it was to be involved in such a poignant moment with Nulsen Disability Services.
22.01.2022 Better late than never! Back in June we ran a shoe drive for childrens runners/sneakers to donate to the Laverton School which is a Remote Teaching Service School located in the mining community of Laverton. The school has approximately 103 students with a large percentage of the population being Aboriginal descent and a significant number of students from Samoa and New Zealand. We ran a successfull drive and managed to send two full boxes of shoes to Laverton through Jeff & Marg Ernst of our Realmark Whitfords office. Thank you to everyone who sent in donations. 22.01.2022 It is that time of year again! We are looking for volunteers to help out at the Operation Christmas Child processing centre in Balcatta preparing the shoeboxes for shipping to impoverished kids in Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, PNG, Fiji, Vanuatu and Samoa. If you have the time to help, simply email [email protected] to book in a date.
21.01.2022 We are still looking for more volunteers to help us out at the Nulsen Op-Shop close down next week. If you can spare a day to help out this very worthy cause it would be greatly appreciated! This opportunity isnt just open to Realmark staff... if you are a family member or friend of a Realmark employee, a contractor or client of a Realmark office or simply someone who would like to volunteer their time in the community, please send an email to [email protected]. Transport is provided to and from the project site from our Leederville office along with lunch during the day. We hope to hear from you!

Since 1993, the Samaritans Purse project, Operation Christmas Child, has collected and delivered more than 135 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 150 countries and territories. Shoebox gifts are collected in the U.S., Australia, Finland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Japan, New Zealand, Canada, Spain, and the U.K.... More than 500,000 volunteers worldwide, with more than 150,000 of those in the United States, are involved in collecting, shipping, and distributing shoebox gifts.

16.01.2022 True Blue Volunteers Tanya Peck, Justin Baker, and Sandy Papalia have recently joined the committee to support Special Olympics Australia and raise money for people with an intellectual disability to participate in sports. On behalf of Special Olympics, they would like to invite you to the Perth Sports Lunch on Friday 20 October. This event has made a valuable financial contribution since 2010 to allow Special Olympics Australia to meet its goals. Your attendance will contrib...ute funds to provide sporting opportunities and community for children and young adults with intellectual disabilities. Whilst it is a national organisation, its aim is to provide these services on a local and regional basis. Currently, there are over 3,000 athletes competing regularly in 17 sports such as athletics, swimming, golf, basketball, sailing, skiing, just to name a few. Special Olympics Australia creates accessible sports training, coaching and competition opportunities so that people with an intellectual disability can reach their personal best, in sport and in life. We are seeking your help to support this wonderful cause by either hosting a table at the lunch or even by providing sponsorship. 13.01.2022 The team at True Blue was proud to help raise $5,000 to go towards Starting Over Support SOS annual High Tea. This is an annual event to help raise money to continue to provide families and individuals with furniture and household items. They had a record year with $13,500 in funds raised overall.

13.01.2022 On November 22nd Harry Lill, Naish Wallace, Oscar Wharton, and Sam Love will be cycling from Domain Stadium in Perth, 3500km across the Nullarbor to the MCG in Melbourne. The purpose of the challenge is to raise funds for beyondblue, a charity that works incredibly hard to promote healthy mental wellbeing and to assist the lives of people who are affected by depression, anxiety, and suicide.Realmark and the True Blue Volunteers are very excited to announce that we are a major... sponsor in supporting the boys on this 15-day journey to raise money and awareness for beyondblue. Oscar, Sam, and Naish work as boarding supervisors at Guildford Grammar School and Harry works as a boarding supervisor at the Rotary Residential College and they are aged between 20-23, which fits within a demographic of people in Australia that are deeply affected by depression and anxiety. In Australia, one-in-four young people aged between 17-24 are affected by depression and one-in-six experience anxiety. In addition to this, eight people each day in Australia die by suicide, six of which are men. 11.01.2022 The Nulsen Haven Op-Shop has been open for just over 47 years and the organisation has been forced to close the shop down. Our True Blue Volunteers will be helping the Op-shop team pack down and clean up the store in preparation for the close. The team were volunteering their time selling merchandise on Jeans for Genes Day raising money for the Childrens Medical Research Institute. 05.01.2022 Ryan Smith throws Floreats Biggest Doggy Date and youre all invited! From 12pm to 2pm this Sunday, Grantham-Selby Park in Floreat will be the happiest place ...in Perth - with over 1,000 locals and their four-legged doggy friends interested in attending Ryan Smith - Realmark Urbans Doggy Date. There will be a sausage sizzle, coffee van and lots of treats for the pups. This time Ryan and his team are raising money for the RSPCA - so bring along a gold coin donation which will go towards supporting animals in need. Our supply of boxes, bubble wrap, paper etc to help with packing up items to send out to... our families, is completely depleted. These items are needed to pack up items to send out to our families. If you or anyone you know has moved house or has some spare boxes ie: from Hello Fresh or online shopping, we would very much appreciate them. Other items that are being highly requested are Prams (suitable for infant age +) Cots Change tables Car seats that are less than 5 years old Queen sheet sets, blankets, doonas & doona covers Double sheet sets, blankets, doonas & doona covers Single blankets, doonas & doona covers Items can be delivered to the SOS Warehouse (40 Bassendean Rd, Bayswater) Mon-Thurs 9-3 or to a People Who Care Op-shop (clearly addressed to SOS) around Perth.
