22.01.2022 Is fine food and wine up your ally? We checked out the Bordeaux region last month and can happily report it is second to none. A quick 2 hour train trip from the center of Paris and we arrived in the historical town of Bordeaux. We took a trip to some local chateaus and also to the neighboring village of Saint Emillion.... The food was beautifully fresh and prepared in a simple manor which allowed you to enjoy the natural flavours. We learnt about wine production in the area and their high standards regarding both growing and fermentation. Im not usually a red wine drinker, but the reds from this area were amazing!!! If your considering where to go in Europe and you love food and wine, put Bordeaux on your list!

09.01.2022 Its great to meet the locals! While we were down in Echuca last month we stayed at a great little caravan park on the banks of the Murray. In the afternoon we were walking back to camp and seen this lady feeding the kookaburras at her home. We simply walked up and asked if I could take a photo and she invited us in to feed them as well ... She told us about her kookaburras and also a bit about her life and how she ended up living in the park. We talked about our home (we have kookaburras too- but we dont feed them), we talked about our travels, then we thanked her and headed off back to our camp feeling so content. This is what life should always be, we should be kind to one another, we should smile and make conversation with one another and we should love our animals .
