16.01.2022 This is a great article to explain the difference between raw cacao and cocoa. It can be really confusing to know the difference... but basically raw cacao is better for you than the more common cocoa that you can buy in supermarkets because cocoa can have a lot of things added to it, including sugar and dairy powders. I like anything that is closer to its natural state, all in moderation of course.

15.01.2022 I am feeling super excited today to be going to a Cacao Ceremony in Fremantle with Cacao Ceremonies Perth. Im not entirely sure what is involved.. but I cant wait to find out! Cacao is believed to be a gift from the Gods to ancient civilisations. It is a truely sacred bean that was treated and consumed very differently to the chocolate we know today. 12.01.2022 Had a housewarming party on the weekend (six months late!) with some special friends. I really enjoyed spending time with the people I love to be around, enjoying good food and having a laugh. I also took the opportunity to try out some new flavours of chocolate on my guests and get feedback on what was the yummiest chocolate! The verdict was....Everyone is different! 04.01.2022 Yesterday I went to my first Cacao Ceremony run by Willow and Catherine I was draw to this ceremony obviously due to the fact it has the word Cacao in it! I will admit I was a little daunted by the prospect of having to meditate for almost 3 hours as I have a love/hate relationship with meditation! However, it was all very easy and relaxed, during the ceremony we were able to drink an incredible cacao drink that is prepared specially in Guatemala - which was seriously delic...ious! A very unique experience for me, combining mediation and the spirit and physical properties of Cacao, guided by music. You dont need to be a meditation guru to go - Im certainly not! This was a good experience to chill out, take time for me, in a supportive environment and escape the crazy world with a special cacao drink. Catherine and Willow are really down to earth people with big hearts and they run these ceremonies monthly, I hope to get back again soon. #cacaoceremonies #cacao #rawchocolate #mediation #soundmeditation #cacaoceremoniesperth
