25.01.2022 It was really fantastic to see these all over Fitzroy North, in some streets pretty much on every single house! The community and @protect_fitzroy_north has fought long & hard to oppose the Piedimonte’s development, which is a highly objectionable proposal for a number of reasons. The community is still awaiting the outcome of VCAT hearings, but ultimately this is proof that community organising and pressure works! #CityofYarra #LGelections2020 #VoteReason
24.01.2022 Another one! Thanks to the good folks of @commercial_club_hotel. When all of this blows over, make sure you get down there for a glass. I’m not lying when I say this is my favourite place to be in all of Melbourne. The kind of pub you wish was on your local corner #drinklocal #supportlocal #cityofyarra #lgelections2020
21.01.2022 With the help of a few volunteers, we’ve already letterboxed about 90% of Nicholls Ward - and we’ve seen some pretty fun things along the way! #LGelections2020 #CityofYarra #VoteReason @ City of Yarra
19.01.2022 The last of my flyers went into letterboxes today - in no small part thanks to all the volunteers who helped out, including these two! I’ve spent a lot of time on footpaths this past week, and managed to have a good chat over the fence with a few of you. Hopefully I’ll get to speak to a few more of you between now and the 23rd and persuade you to #VoteReason! #cityofyarra #yarra #yarraelections @ City of Yarra
18.01.2022 Hopefully most of you are more organised than me and already got your ballots in! But if you haven’t, make sure you do so by 6pm tomorrow (Friday)!! Every vote matters! #cityofyarra #yarracouncil #lgelections2020
14.01.2022 Starting to see a few more of these sprout up around the neighbourhood! Thanks @justjacky for your support! #lgelections2020 #cityofyarra #votereason
13.01.2022 Come and meet all of our wonderful candidates running for council across Melbourne! Live on Facebook from 6pm this evening with the one and only Fiona Patten MP https://fb.me/e/ftJTuUMNX
07.01.2022 Some of you may remember this coming up at the online Town Hall a couple of weeks ago (thanks again to Imogen for the question)! While this is strictly speaking a State government area of responsibility, it is vital that all councils strongly advocate for issues such as these in support of gender equality. Changing our traffic lights can also open the door to important conversations with children about gender diversity more broadly; something that we should be encouraging all adults to speak to children about with honesty and empathy. If elected, I will advocate to VicRoads and the Victorian Government to achieve a 50/50 dress/pants split in pedestrian light crossings across Victoria, and actively work towards this goal through my four-year term.

03.01.2022 As we near the end of the election campaign, it's worth remembering what every candidate stands for, and if they're standing as a party-endorsed candidate, which political party they represent. I am proud to be running as the member of ReasonVictoria. As our sole member in the Victorian Parliament, Fiona Patten MP has contributed an enormous amount, and has a proven track record of working well with her colleagues, on all sides of the aisle. Amongst her many achievements, sh...e has: - Secured the first medically-supervised injecting centre (MSIC) in Victoria. - Initiated the Parliamentary Inquiry that led to dying with dignity reform. - Created 150m safe access (protest free zones) around women’s reproductive health clinics (read more here! https://fionapatten.com.au/achievements/) I have always been supportive of independent voices who can hold the major parties to account, but also work with them collaboratively, and not resort to the grubby, petty politics that we have all become accustomed to. These are the kinds of voices we need in all levels of government, which is why I would urge you to put a "1" next to my name on your ballot (if you're still deciding how to cast your vote). And don't forget - your ballot needs to be in the mail by 6pm this Friday! To find your local red street posting box, use this link - https://auspost.com.au/locate/
03.01.2022 More letterboxing and more caffeine fixes! Today it’s the wonderful @wildthingsfood, who do a great deal more than coffee! Next time you’re about to do your shopping at Coles or Woolies, why not consider paying these folks a visit instead, and #supportlocal! #cityofyarra #lgelections2020 #melbournecoffee
02.01.2022 Hello Nicholls! Ballots are being mailed out, and the election campaign is in full swing! I've still got a few more corflutes that are looking for a good home - if you have a nice fence or window where you'd be happy to put one up, or know someone who does - get in touch with me! 0447 021 881 or [email protected]... Share widely so we can spread the good word of Reason!
