23.01.2022 Even a simple End Fed antenna can create a lot of experimentation! Justin VK7TW has taken Ben VK7BEN's end-fed kit and added a counterpoise plug and a typical broadcast band variable capacitor to better match the antenna at higher bands! We're looking forward to hearing more about the field tests!

19.01.2022 All VK7s in the south of the state, please check your 2m transceiver. Someone has locked up the input to 146.7MHz VK7RAD. Has been going since just after the WIA Broadcast. Please save me getting out the DF gear.. 73 VK7SD.

03.01.2022 Thinking of sitting for your Foundation Licence assessment? The WIA has just released their online trial assessments and the great thing is they give you instant feedback on how you went. They can be found at: https://www.wia.org.au//foundat/onlineexams/foundation.php... Don't forget about the Foundation Licence Manuals that are available in Southern Tasmania from the Caltex Service Station corner of Amy St and Main Road at Moonah for $35 cash. Thanks to Clayton VK7ZCR for this great service. Once you have studied and are confident that you would like to undertake an assessment - send through an email to [email protected] to book your place. The next assessment day is 3 October 2020.
