25.01.2022 Traditionally a time for family, our thoughts are very much with families who are missing their precious baby perhaps at a time when they might have been at an age where they would be enjoying their first Easter egg hunt. Whatever the day holds for you we wish our supporters and families a happy and safe Easter. This year is certainly a time for reflection and doing things differently, realising the importance of family and checking that others you know are ok. Big hugs from all of us to all of you.

23.01.2022 Just a reminder about the Children's Christmas Memorial Service at Lilydale Memorial Park tomorrow from 4pm. It's going to be a beautiful day, so pack a picnic and join us as we remember those who will be missing their baby/child at Christmas. Everyone is welcome, it is not just for families of LMP. From 4pm - 7pm, poster is on the next post down. If you come along, please introduce yourself to Robyn.

23.01.2022 While JD may not have received one award, he did receive another!

21.01.2022 Today Robyn met with the founders of Pregnancy & Infant Loss Australia https://www.facebook.com/PAILAustralia/ who are the incredibly hard working people who helped get the word out to 'light up in pink and blue' all the buildings around Australia on October 15th. Their quest is to have it recognised as a national day so that families who experience loss know they are not alone.

20.01.2022 Are you accustomed to taking minutes at board meetings? Are you available between 7-9pm on the third Tuesday of each month and perhaps 1-2 days a year for planning days? If the answer to these questions is yes, then you might consider donating your time to take the minutes of our board meetings. Meetings are held either in Wantirna or Mulgrave. If you would like to express your interest, please submit your details to [email protected] Thanks in anticipation!

19.01.2022 Happy Mother’s Day to all Mother’s. Our thoughts are with those on the bumpy journey that fertility can bring, those who ache to be a mum, those who are still mother’s and have endured loss, those whose mother’s are no longer with us, those who are unable to be mother’s and those who have chosen not to be mother’s . Mother’s Day is different for all of us. If anything be mindful and kind today.

18.01.2022 Looking for that a gift for that special someone in your life? A ticket to our High Tea on May 3rd, next year, will certainly bring a smile to the recipient's face, given that not only is it a lovely gift, but they will also be helping support the Rebecca Jane Foundation. Details are on the flyer attached, when booking please put 'any table' and we will make sure they are looked after! If you want to send us their details, we will email a lovely gift certificate for you to give them on Christmas Day. NB, there are only a few tables left!

16.01.2022 Tomorrow is International Bereaved Mother's Day, because just like many babies, it arrives early. If you know a bereaved mum, let them know you are thinking of them. We will be sending lots of virtual hugs to the mums who, for whatever reason, do not yet have an earth child, but may have one or more in heaven. Please reach out, to any bereaved mother (yes even bereaved mums of adults), you won't ever realise how much they will appreciate it if you do. There are lots of e-cards, a phone call, a message on FB, it doesn't matter what it is, the fact you have thought and acknowledged this special day will be appreciated!

15.01.2022 For the Lilydale Children's Christmas service this year, our founder Robyn wrote this verse. Perhaps if you, or someone you know, will be missing a special person/child/baby at Christmas, you might like to print it out and give it to them as your gift today. We hope whatever this day holds for you, you find some peace in your hearts.

12.01.2022 Fabulous night last night at the launch of the Observership program for 2020 at the National Gallery. We would like to introduce our ‘observer’ Bianca Robinson who will be attending our board meetings and adding her expertise to our mission to help families. She will be with us until the end of the year. Bianca’s enthusiasm and willingness to participate is contagious! A bereaved mum herself Bianca (with the help of the local community) was able create Maya’s Garden at Wo...donga Hospital, in memory of her daughter, so bereaved parents had a lovely scene to look out on rather than the dull and unloved space that was there before. We’re excited to have Bianca join us - win/win!! For anyone on a not for profit board this is an amazing opportunity to have an up and coming young talent join your board as an observer. Contact me for more info. For this year’s placement there were over 400 candidates for only about 160 places.

10.01.2022 A huge congratulations to Pregnancy And Infant Loss Australia who have worked incredibly hard to secure now 133 buildings which for the 15th will light up in pink and blue representing the 1 in 4 families who often suffer the devastating loss of a baby or infant in silence. So please take this opportunity to ask the people you know, who have been in this position, to share with you their story. Just as parents who have a living child like to talk about them, so too do parents who have not been given that chance. Well done JD your seven angel babies would be very proud of their dad. https://www.facebook.com/events/631557354139516/

09.01.2022 This is an interesting look into the charities and not for profits sector. We are in the extra-small category, which is a third of the 66%.

08.01.2022 I can't go in to details yet, but something very, very exciting is happening with our petition for national recognition of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance... Day - October 15. This may well be the last chance for us to get more signatures. So if you haven't signed yet please make sure you do and don't forget to get all of your friends and family to sign as well. Please also share the petition far and wide. http://chng.it/nq6hFSyz See more

08.01.2022 On Sunday December 8th our Founder Robyn will be the celebrant for a Children's Memorial Service on behalf of the Greater Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust in Lilydale. All bereaved parents, families and extended families are welcome to come. Details are on the flyer, please pass this onto anyone who you think would like to be there for a special time to honour their child as the Christmas season approaches.

05.01.2022 It is sad for us to announce that our first fundraiser, our High Tea on Bereaved Mother’s Day will be cancelled in response to current COVID-19 government restrictions. This was our major fundraiser for the year. As there will be a continued need for our services in this unprecedented time, fundraising is very important to us. We have some great news! Due to some very generous donations we will go ahead with our raffle. So watch this space to get involved! ... Stay safe and well.

02.01.2022 Last week we honoured all the bereaved father's who carry their children in their hearts, but today we also honour those who have mixed emotions with both angel and earth children. We see you and we stand with you.

02.01.2022 Congratulations to JD, who has been the instigator and organiser of the lighting of buildings in pink and blue for International Pregnancy & Infant Loss on October 15th across Australia. If you know of any buildings (perhaps where you work) who would be willing to join, JD's details are on the post. A well deserved nomination!

01.01.2022 At a time when we are really reluctant to ask for donations, we have found our services were called upon three times this week. These may only be temporary measures until people can access ‘job keeping’ or Centrelink payments, but they are, for some, a time of great need. We are just surviving at the moment, due to a generous donation from an anonymous donor, before Christmas. However this is not going to last much longer. As many will not be buying Easter eggs this year..., perhaps you could make a small donation to us instead? Many small donations will enable us to keep going. We trust that all families who request our help are in dire genuine need and we would hope that we don’t have to say no to helping a bereaved family when so many feel like they are in such a turbulent world right now.
