25.01.2022 Joey and Daniel wrote their own vows and they absolutely nailed them! I believe this was the moment Joey promised Daniel: "to always show you the same dedication and loyalty, to always see you and me as one entity, to make decisions that will benefit us both equally, except when I want to watch Greys anatomy and you are hogging the laptop." 23.01.2022 #Repost by my friend, celebuddy and legendary human @natsproal.melbournecelebrant A collective of Australian wedding vendors is working together to make a recovery plan for once this COVID-19 nightmare is over. . So many couples are not going to have their weddings go ahead and we get it- its devastating. And surreal. .... One way we are proposing to help couples get married and sustain our small businesses is to ask couples to consider postponing their weddings to day other than Friday or Saturday. . Popular vendors are booked out 12-18 months ahead and we simply do not have the capacity to move postponed couples into Saturday spots next year. . Please consider thinking outside the square, challenging age old traditions - and rolling your wedding, with your selected team of awesome vendors across to a weekday. . A Thursday wedding has a great vibe. People have the day off the following day and then the entire weekend also. . You can have the cracking wedding you planned for with the same crew- on a new day. . You support our businesses, do not have to rebook new vendors and many of us are offering a direct transfer of fees already paid to a weekday date. . Same team, minimal loss of cash. . Together we will get you wed, in a huggy, kissy, packed dance floor kinda way and well give the finger to tradition whilst were at it. . . . 22.01.2022 GEORGIA + LUKE - it was a very, very wet Friday afternoon last month when these lovers had a short and sweet ceremony by the lake at Lindenderry Red Hill. There were heaps of umbrellas and everyone huddled together to witness Georgia and Luke get hitched. There was plenty of laughter and love and we all raced inside straight after to get dry, drink some bubbles and sign the certificates! Congratulations you two!! Photo by @dreamscapeweddings

22.01.2022 HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!! To all the Dads, Step Dads, Grandads, the new Dads, the men who are waiting to become Dads, the Foster Dads, the single Dads, the Dads who have lost children and the Dads we have lost. Today we celebrate you and everything you do. Being a Dad is a 24/7 job and it doesn't stop - even on your wedding day. Today I'm thinking of my wonderful grooms who were Dads on their wedding day and those who have recently become Dads. Aidan knew it was definitely way past Atticus' bedtime this is one of my all time favourite photos, Rhiannon and Aidan's wedding day captured by Honey Images Photography

21.01.2022 MUMS - I'm lucky enough to be one and to have one, and I know just how bloody hard they work and how hard they love their kids. Wedding ceremonies are a great opportunity to give back and make them feel super special When Ollie and Rhi were planning their ceremony they mentioned they wanted to acknowledge how awesome their Mums are. We chatted about a few options; having them be witnesses, doing a reading and they decided to do a Mother's Rose Ceremony. This is so easy, incredibly meaningful and always makes the Mums cry! I said a few words about how important and special these two ladies are and Ollie and Rhi would like to present their Mums with a rose which symbolises their love, gratitude, respect and admiration. Their Mums were so surprised and it was beautiful. Thanks to Dezine by Mauro Wedding Photography Melbourne for the pic!

20.01.2022 ALEX + BRENDAN - I love these guys from the bottom, top and sides of my heart! Their wedding was incredible and they did everything THEIR way! They invited all of their nearest and dearest to Alexs family farm on the Mornington Peninsula; a place of many treasured memories since Alexs Grandparents moved there in the 1960s. For Alex and Brendan marriage means they are committed to their life together. Its about a whole lot of love, trust, compromise, passion, compassion an...d understanding. They were both so excited to have the big party and to celebrate with all of their families and friends with a wedding, but nothing made them happier than knowing that the end result of it all is that they will be married to each other and have so many exciting adventures ahead of them . 19.01.2022 SMALL WEDDING INSPO - Edwin + Lein's wedding was one I will remember forever! These lovers hired a small yacht, had myself, photographer Mardy from All My Wednesdays Pictures and Films and 7 of their nearest and dearest join them on a beautiful sunny day, sailing around Docklands and Port Phillip Bay, as they became Husband and Wife. With the current situation in Melbourne, weddings have taken a big hit and most couples are having to make alternate plans for their special day. If you are open to having a small wedding I've got a million ideas and suggestions on how we can make it memorable, unique and epic. Although it may not be the big wedding you've always dreamed of, it will still be amazing, you will still be married, and you may even have a house deposit with the money you'll save! Stay safe everyone xx

19.01.2022 Elle + Adam - As many modern day love stories go, these two met in the comment section on Facebook. They had a great friendship but the timing wasn't right and they went down different paths. They reconnected about 5 years ago, chatting over messenger. Their first date was to dinner, followed by mini golf. Adam went to pick Elle up, knocked on her door, and her 2 year old son opened the door and then slammed the door shut, leaving Adam awkwardly waiting outside to be let in b...y Elle. Luckily this didn't deter Adam at all and the date went really well! 5 years later and they became husband and wife at the stunning Hedgend Maze. Elle was so nervous about crying throughout the ceremony so I told her a couple of my tricks - look up and touch your tongue to the roof of your mouth. This makes it almost impossible to cry. We had a bit of laugh during the ceremony run through as to how this was going to work. She surprised herself and didn't cry at all, instead she had the biggest smile on her face the whole way through! I'm still riding on the love fest from their wedding as it's the last one I'm going to get to do for a long time :( I was so happy we were able to squeeze them in, and they live-streamed the ceremony to their family and friends in New Zealand who were unable to make it. 16.01.2022 HUMOUR - Wedding ceremonies are full of emotion and at times can feel pretty heavy! It's so important to lighten them up with some humour. A laugh can help ease nerves and shake off the pressure. This was the moment I shared with Jason and Jess' guests how when they first met Jess found Jason's good night text messages quite endearing, even though he would write, "sweat dreams" instead of "sweet dreams" Photo by A Touch Of Flash Photography

16.01.2022 KIND WORDS from Alex + Brendan . Beck was an incredible support from start to finish with our wedding - from the very start she helped us navigate things we had not even thought about and made everything seem really easy along the way. On top of that she was always thinking about little ways to make the ceremony more tailored to us and giving insights that she has from seeing and doing so many ceremonies, little things that on the day make a really big difference to the who...le experience! On the day Beck was all over keeping many moving parts together and getting the ceremony underway. The way she delivered everything as well was so beautiful! Not at all cheesy, but warm and with enough light and laughter. Brendan and I highly recommend Beck. She is really made to be a celebrant; she loves her job and she is absolutely great at it. Love you guys!!! Xxx by @sean_and_danni_photographers

16.01.2022 HUGGING - Remember how great hugs feel?! Here is another one of my fave moments at all weddings. Before the ceremony starts I will always give hugs and pep talks to my couples. I tell them it's for them but it's also kinda for me so I don't get teary watching them walk down the aisle too! Megan, let's have a coffee and a cuddle when Rona is gone, ok?! Photo by White Shutter Photography

16.01.2022 HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!! - This is definitely the toughest gig I've ever had! These two little humans make me want to be the best, kindest, strongest, patient, most loving person I can be. We can't all be mothers (I nearly wasn't) and we don't all have mothers. Today I am so incredibly grateful to be one and to have one (love you Mum!). So many of my brides are celebrating their first Mother's Day today, and I'm thinking of you all! Kick your feet up, today is YOUR day. Big love to you all xxx photo taken 2 years ago by Pixie Rouge Photography (It's time for some new pics I think!)

15.01.2022 NINJA VOWS - What the heck are Ninja Vows? These are things that you want your partner to promise to you. They are kept a secret until the moment I hand your partner the card and they have to read what you want them to promise to you. Here are Josh and Zoe's Ninja Vows: Josh to Zoe - I promise to think before I speak. I promise to hang out your washing without judgement, when you forget youve put a load on. I promise to have dance parties in the kitchen and laugh at all o...f your hi-lar-i-ous jokes. I promise to continue to be my awesome self, the sports fanatic, the fact checker, best friend, big brother, loving son and now loving husband. Zoe to Josh - I promise to not talk so much in bed when you are trying to sleep. I promise to take you in both hangover and health, to provide a judgement free and greasy food at times when you need, I promise to try and remember to hang the washing out after I put it on and to make decisions on cuisine and not leaving it up to you all the time. Most of all I promise to never change because I'm perfect just the way I am. Instead of looking after everyone else, I promise to start putting myself first because I'm worth looking after too. 14.01.2022 Hang in there Melbourne, we are on our way back to THIS! It's been a long road and although weddings may look a bit different for awhile, we WILL get back to this eventually! Big love to you all xx

14.01.2022 MARCH 21ST, 2020 - 6 months ago today I had the absolute honour of marrying these cuties, Elle & Adam. These two were so incredibly lucky to squeeze in their wedding before the world changed and they made the most of it! I can't wait to get back to the excitement, the emotions and the celebrations of love! Happy 6 month anniversary lovers, and congrats on the little bub on the way! xxx

13.01.2022 KIDS - I do a lot of weddings with couples who have kids and I always do a little happy dance on the inside when they ask if I have any ideas of how we can involve them in the ceremony. Ive got so many ideas in my brain and once I get to know you and your family we can find something thats fits perfectly . This amazing little guy is Hunter and he absolutely nailed the pronouncement in Elle and Adams ceremony! He also laughed really hard at all the humorous bits in the ceremony and clapped louder than anyone. He is the perfect Celebrant sidekick and I wish he could come to all of my weddings!

13.01.2022 THE KISS - To dip or not to dip? Personally I'm a MASSIVE fan of the dip and Carla and Nick absolutely nailed the dip! Regardless, THE kiss is a big moment of every ceremony and something you want to remember. If you are having an onsite rehearsal or a Zoom rehearsal meeting with me, I will always ask if you've practised the kiss (I don't need to see it haha) but I like to make sure you've thought about it and I will tell you to make it big! It's your first kiss as a married couple, so why not?! Photo by Kyle at Valley & Peak

13.01.2022 RACHEL + JACK - Well, most of 2020 was a pretty crap year for these two! It started off with them camping in Mallacoota over New Years and having to take protection in a boat from the wildfires. Then, 4 days before their wedding, it was cancelled (FU Covid). A car accident, being locked down and more. After everything they went through, all they wanted was to be married and end the year on a high. So, on 02/10/20 I met them at the stunning Noojee Trestle Bridge with their pa...rents and the very talented Shan Captured Photography and Design and they eloped! It was incredibly beautiful and emotional and I felt so honoured to be there. Although it wasn't what they initially planned for their perfect day, it was perfect because they had the most important people in the world there with them and they finally became husband and wife. They will have a big party and commitment ceremony to celebrate with all of their loved ones in the future and I seriously can't wait!! Congratulations again Rach & Jack, big love to you both xx

13.01.2022 Alex + Brendan just married! Can we please get back to THIS soon?! I can't wait to see my couples experience THIS moment of absolute joy and elation! Photo by Sean and Danni - Photographers

12.01.2022 Happy 1st Anniversary to Katie & Paul!! It was an absolutely freezing March day which even included some hail, but just as the ceremony started the rain stopped and the sun even came out! I hope you two enjoyed celebrating today with a few beers, some hot chips and all of your animals! Congratulations xxx

11.01.2022 ADVENUTRE - Ive always loved adventuring and exploring and being in isolation has been ummm different. Its been challenging and rewarding at the same time. Part of me is a bit nervous about emerging from my little cocoon and the other part of me is so super excited!! As my boys go back to kinder and childcare on Monday and I get to marry 2 awesome lovers next Friday, Im taking some time to look back at the past few weeks and some of the things Ive done: . taught my 4 yea...r old to ride his bike without training wheels . taught my 2 year old how to use the toilet (still a work in progress ) . I did not do as many workouts as I wanted . enjoyed a lot of chocolate . finished Breaking Bad and now glued to Ozark (what should I watch next people?) . Ive discovered my couples are even more incredible than I already thought they were and I cant wait to marry them and hug them so hard! . Family is everything . What have you done or learned during iso or what cant you wait to do? See more

11.01.2022 Happy 1st Anniversary to Ash & Jamie!! These guys did it their way! Their friend Meagan wrote and delivered most of the ceremony and I was her sidekick for the day. Ashs Dad and very proud Nana walked her down the aisle, and they chose (well I talked them into) not seeing their ceremony before the day. This meant they had no idea what was coming and their reactions were true, natural, authentic and they smiled and laughed the whole way through! They had live music by @bakerboysband and rockstar photographer Not Negative Congrats on your 1st year of marriage guys, big love to you both xx @ Point Nepean National Park

11.01.2022 REMEMBERING loved ones - So many couples get married without loved ones present and it can be tough, really tough. I think it's important to recognise those people early in the ceremony in a way that you are comfortable with. Alex and Brendan honoured their Grandparents and Brendan's Dad by toasting a whiskey shot to them. Brendan's Dad loved a whiskey. He would always buy and drink the cheap stuff even though he had a couple of bottles of top shelf whiskey. They were too good to drink. He wanted to save them for a special occasion. Well, when he passed away, Brendan inherited his Dads fine whiskey, including a bottle of 25-year-old Chivas Regal which he was given for his retirement. Brendan and Alex's wedding ceremony was the perfect "special occasion" to drink it. Photo by Sean and Danni - Photographers

10.01.2022 JOSH + ZOE - Josh swiped right straight away, Zoe was a bit hesitant and it took her a few days, but she finally gave in as the photo of his dog Nala was so cute and she thought if anything, she may get to have cuddles with his dog! Thankfully they hit it off on their first date and 4 years later they got hitched! This was one of my absolute favourite ceremonies as it was unique, fun and authentic. They did a ring warming (In a Llama), had their siblings stand next to them, ...wrote their own vows, wrote ninja vows for each other, Zoe beat Josh at Rock, Scissors, Paper and made him go first and at the end their guests came forward to congratulate them, rather than walk back down the aisle. They also had live music which set the vibe for the day. Thanks for sharing your day with me guys, can we do it again please?! . 10.01.2022 SHHHH IT'S A SECRET - I loved that Andrew and Jordan had a big secret on their wedding day. Luckily, their amazing photographer Madeleine Chiller was in on the secret and captured these special moments. I have married a lot of pregnant brides who have chosen to keep it a secret and had special little moments with their partner throughout their day. Some have announced their secret on their wedding day or even done a gender reveal. Whatever you choose, I am up for it, and here for you 100%!

10.01.2022 ASH + LAURA - WOW! I honestly don't even know where to start with these two! They originally contacted me on January 3rd, 2019 about being their Celebrant. They had a couple of different dates in mind and eventually settled on October 2020. Well.....you know....(C word) and postponed to February 2021. They really didn't want to wait any longer, they just wanted to get married and end a pretty crappy 2020 on a high and managed to get all of their vendors on board for Plan C (o...r maybe Plan D!) and with less than 1 month's notice they managed to pull it off and were married yesterday, on December 20th! I feel like these girls are a part of my family after everything we've been through and standing there next to them as they said their vows and exchanged rings was a highlight of my career! My favourite part had to be their Ninja Vows where Laura made Ash promise to "barrack for the doggies because I know they are a far superior team to my crappy tigers" and Ash made Laura promise to "keep watching trashy reality shows with you (even though I only pretend not to enjoy them)". Congratulations you two! Thank you for choosing me to marry you, I loved every single moment Photo by the amazing Belle Martin Photography

09.01.2022 I was looking through Youngie and Jordan's wedding photos and stumbled upon this motley crew enjoying that "in between time". You know, that time after the ceremony and before the reception. It's super important to ensure your guests are looked after when you're not around (ie booze, food and games). I used to work in travel with these guys and there is never a dull moment when they are around! It won't be long until weddings look like this again peeps, hang in there!! Photo by Madeleine Chiller

09.01.2022 CAT + MITCH - One year ago today these two cool cats had the most relaxed, fun and beautiful ceremony at the stunning @inglewoodestate I arrived as they were having their first look photos taken by @nicstephensphotography Mitch, beer in hand and Cat with a glass of Prosecco, calmly having a few snaps before their guests arrived. I’m a big fan of first look photos! It can help with nerves, you can still have that special moment of seeing your partner for the first time all dressed up and it means you can start celebrating with your loved ones right after the ceremony! This photo of the 3 of us was actually taken before they were married! I can’t wait to see them again in February when I get to marry their mates Chris + Sinead Happy Anniversary Cat + Mitch xx

09.01.2022 Marrying Tristan and Vicki was definitely a highlight of my celebrant career! With Covid restrictions in place there was a lot of uncertainty but what WAS certain was the enormous amount of love between them, and surrounding them and their 13 guests, as I socially distantly declared them Husband and Wife "Beck conducted our Ceremony in June and we could not rate her highly enough. We decided on a small and intimate ceremony at the last minute due to the restrictions COVID... placed on weddings, and so were unsure as to how the day would feel. We needn't have worried - Rebecca prepared and delivered a ceremony that balanced the perfect mix of meaningful and relaxed and we couldn't be happier. All of our friends & family agreed that the day 'summed us up perfectly' and we couldn't agree more. Despite the ever-changing guidelines, and total change of our expectation for the day, Rebecca offered support and guidance and took all of the worry and stress away. Needless to say, her input was greatly appreciated, the suggestions that gave us made the ceremony feel uniquely us. Despite our change in plans, and the uncertainty at the moment, we loved every minute of our smaller wedding and would do the same again in a heartbeat. For anyone looking for a marriage celebrant, or even anyone unsure as to whether to carry on with an intimate ceremony, we couldn't recommend it, or Beck more." See more

08.01.2022 Lovely words - "Beck was absolutely wonderful! She came into our lives at just the right time. Beck made our ceremony relaxed and fun just like we wanted. It was super easy to work with Beck as she helped us work out all the things that were most important to us and gave great suggestions on how to include different aspects into our ceremony such as having family vows and family members sign as witnesses. Highly recommend." Thanks for letting me into your lives and hearts Adam + Elle xx photo by @brightlightweddings

08.01.2022 HOPE - It's something I've hung on to throughout the past 6 months. I've hoped my family and friends stay healthy, I've hoped my Husband would keep his job, I've hoped my kids wouldn't be affected and would stay happy and I've hoped to get back to what makes me happy, what makes my heart sing and to what I love doing, marrying lovers. Some days have been hard, some days have been bloody hard and some days have been ok. In the depth of my soul I've always held onto hope and it...'s what's helped me get through the tough days (ok the wine has definitely helped too). Today, as the new cases were announced at 14, I finally, really felt, we've done this Melbourne ! My family and friends are healthy, somehow my hubby has managed to keep his job at 50%, my kids will be a bit affected but I feel in a good way AND I've got a beautiful little elopement happening in less than 2 weeks in regional Victoria for an amazing couple whose original wedding had to be cancelled. Hang in there Melbourne, keep staying home, it won't be long until we can hug our peeps, have a meal with our mates, and lovers can say, "I do"! xxx

07.01.2022 JESS + JASON - These two know how to party and how to celebrate the big things in life, like getting married! It was one year ago today, after a small rain delay, that they said their "I do's" and became husband and wife in the beautiful gazebo at Nathania Springs in the Dandenongs. 07.01.2022 LOVE IS WHAT MATTERS MOST - Well, here we go again, back into hibernating for the next 6 weeks. I'm not happy about it, but I 100% understand why we have to and I fully support it. I believe weddings will be different for awhile. No one knows just how long it will be until life returns to normal. For couples who want to get married, this really breaks my heart. It's made me feel quite down and frustrated. Then, something magical happened. I've had a few of my amazing couples... tell me that what really matters to them most is love, and they just want to get married! I've done a couple of these small, intimate ceremonies and I have found them to be so incredibly beautiful and special. Love in the time of Rona is the same as love before and after Rona, it's just the celebration that may be different. To all of my couples, I feel your pain, sorrow, frustration, uncertainty, anger. My advice is to talk to each other about what really matters most to you. Talk to your loved ones, talk to your wedding suppliers, we are all here for you. I'm only a Zoom away and am always up for a chat over a virtual coffee, wine or espresso martini. Stay safe, stay well and stay loving each other xx

07.01.2022 I’M BACK!! Wow, what a weekend!! I had my first face to face meetings since March with 3 of my gorgeous couples to plan their January and February weddings. I had a Zoom with a new couple whom I get to marry in March. I fell in love with them instantly and they met by speed dating, how cool is that?!?! AND, I got to marry Kelz & Sean in a short and sweet ceremony at the park in front of their home. They wanted to have it at their home but could only have 15 guests so we went to the park and they could have up to 50, WIN!! I’m exhausted but so happy and grateful. I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend xx

07.01.2022 MELISSA + NATHAN - These two have a lot in common - they love jumping in the car and going for drives to discover new places. They are passionate about basketball and enjoy going to watch Melbourne United play in the NBL. Although they have many similarities, their differences also complement each other. Melissa is very structured and needs to plan what's next. Nathan is happy go lucky and can go with the flow. Melissa will speak her mind; Nathan will think before he speaks. Melissa is big on precise detail; Nathan will add sugar to a good story. . I loved getting to know them and marrying them was pretty special. Trofeo Estate was the perfect venue for them and I can't wait to get back there! Congratulations and thank you for sharing your day with me xx photo by @1franjorgensen1

04.01.2022 FLOWERS - Firstly, WOW! How amazing was Zoe's bouquet by @petaldancefloristry ?! I'm often asked by my couples if they need to have flowers on their signing table. I've got a couple of opinions on this - 1. You don't really need to! Instead of passing your bouquet to a bridesmaid, let's pop them on the signing table! 2. if you want to hold your bouquet during your ceremony then sure, get some flowers for the table to pretty it up! Regardless, I'll always make sure they are positioned well for photos :) Oh and your wedding rings dont have to be in a box, you could always put them in a llama photo by @lakshalperera

03.01.2022 #challengeaccepted thank you @donna_durstonmckenna and @ebonycarvercelebrant for the nomination. 01.01.2022 AIDEN + MARINA - oh these two lovebirds captured my heart from our first meeting! I walked away feeling wow, these guys LOVE each other so hard! As I love love, this made me love them! Their love story began on the dance floor at the Saloon in Traralgon. This place must be an absolute haven of romance as another of my couples who are getting married later this month also met on that same dance floor! Peeps, if you are single, check this place out!!!! Anyway, Marina and Aiden, congratulations on your 1 year anniversary! Sending you big love xxx photo by @nikolajanev

01.01.2022 CONNECTION - This is what Im missing the most. Of course I miss that nervous excitement before a ceremony starts, I miss watching everyone watching the bride walk down the aisle, I miss all the gorgeous little people all dressed up and I miss sharing my couples love story with their family and friends. Mostly, I miss the moment in this photo. When my couple are married, they are feeling complete and utter happiness, theyve been congratulated by their peeps and then its my turn. My job is done and this is a thank you, I love you guys and a goodbye cuddle. THIS is where I find I have to hold back my tears! THIS is what I miss and I cant wait to have again. Shelly and Scott were the last couple I married before having my second son and it was an emotional one! Photo captured by the legendary Rick Liston

01.01.2022 This deliriously happy, excited, face is present at all of my ceremonies. I miss her!! With restrictions going backwards this week the uncertainty and confusion has hit us all. Many of my beautiful couples have made the heartbreaking decision to postpone their wedding and others are agonising over what they should do. I dont have the answers, however, Im here anytime you want to chat, run through the options, have a wine or espresso martini over Zoom. We WILL get you married and this happy Beck face WILL be back! Hang in there and keep loving each other because thats what matters most xxx Stef + Steve getting hitched
