18.01.2022 This cute little monochrome watercolour was a piece I created from a Skillshare watercolour class. The task was to create the variation of colour intensity with a single colour. This is a great little tip for a number of reasons. One is it takes away one element (colour) from the many things you need to think about when creating an artwork. Another really important thing it helps develop is your ability to see the tonal range in your subject, separated from the actual colours. Seeing and creating tones is an essential drawing and painting skill. If you try it (or have tried it), please share. Tag me so I can see it or share in the comments below.
