20.01.2022 On 22 April 2020 the Electronic Transactions Amendment (COVID-19 Witnessing of Documents) Regulation 2020 (NSW) came into effect. The regulation will expire in 6 months unless NSW Parliament decides otherwise. Video conferencing technology like Skype, FaceTime and Zoom can now be used in the witnessing of important legal documents including Wills, Powers of Attorney, Appointment of Enduring Guardians and Statutory Declarations.
