21.01.2022 Miss Bossy Pant's - Heaven's Wish List. (Poem) By Beck Brady. Hi heaven, how are you? Just in regards to what awaits me as I head to you one day, please note, I request the followingI have these things to say.... I seek my heavenly resting place to be filled with an abundance of harmony through you, Ensure it’s lined with pots of plants & flowers for me too. Please make sure my family are there to greet me at the gate and having family of your own, I’m sure you’ll appreciate. Could you please make sure I’m super thin and can eat whatever I like have plenty of crystal chandeliers for me sir, you know? The ones that sparkle in the light. I prefer a moderate temperature with a little shade, yet, lots & lots of sunand you know along with this order, I request a tremendous amount of fun. Now don’t forget my grand piano, a marble cheese board with exotic fruitand if you allow me too up there, I’ll send to my children, large sums of rich green loot. Oh yescould you arrange the astro travel centre to organise a trip to Paris? Alright then, allow the others to come, if heaven still compels some jealous. I’ll crave champagne, a good strength coffee, fine chocolate more than ‘time to time’, & I’m sure you’ve figured out by now - a lot of salt is not a crime. Yet, carry on as you were, we’re a long way off from meeting yet, but I thought I’d write this to you now, so you are sure not to forget. I’m loving life, I have so much - to be thankful for, and off course your cupids hit the mark with the man that I adore. Yet, when I get to heaven, the whole globe I wish to seek, sipping fine wine while I nibble tapas my sun glowing face kissed, from cheek to cheek! So, as I continue to request these things, do whatever you need to do, I can’t surrender any itemised ‘thing’, so I’ll leave it up to you. But as I take a moment.might I say, what a magnificent life I get to live, I am most grateful and you should know - I’m good, you’ve seen me pray and give. So before you call me up to you and you oblige my genuine requests, I better remember to say ‘thank you’ for your part in it all, I guess. Now, If there’s anything you want from me, be sure to let me know, don’t ask me on a Saturday though, as I’ll be out, I won’t be home. So, If there is anything that comes to mind, be obvious like a knock on the headinfact, come to think of it, best you tell me as I sleep in bed. On that note big man, it’s nighty night, Thank you for listening to my prayers, now remember my heaven’s wish list, Hey? Off course I think it’s fair And after this long journey, I’ll deserve it once I’m there!

16.01.2022 For Anzac Day. "Why Wear A Poppy?" by Don Crawford. Please wear a Poppy, the lady said,... And held one forth, but I shook my head, Then I stopped and watched as she offered them there, And her face was old and lined with care; But beneath the scars the years had made There remained a smile that refused to fade. A boy came whistling down the street, Bouncing along on carefree feet, His smile was full of joy and fun: Lady, said he, May I have one? When she pinned it on he turned to say, Why do we wear a poppy today? The lady smiled in her wistful way, And answered, This is Remembrance Day, And the poppy there is a symbol for The gallant ones who died in war, And because they did, you and I are free, That’s why we wear the poppy, you see. I had a boy about your size, With golden hair and big blue eyes. He loved to play and jump and shout, Free as a bird he would race about. As the years went by he learned and grew, And became a man as you will, too. But the war went on and he had to stay, And all I could do was wait and pray. His letters told of the dreadful plight, (I can see it still in my dreams at night) With the tanks and guns and cruel barbed wire, and the mines and bullets, the bombs and fire. Till at last, at last, the war was won And that’s why we wear a poppy, son. The small boy turned as if to go, Then said, Thanks lady, I’m glad to know, That sure did sound like an awful fight, But your son did he come back all right? A tear rolled down each faded cheek: She shook her head but didn’t speak. I slunk away in a sort of shame, And if you were me you’d have done the same: For our thanks, in giving, is oft delayed Though our freedom was bought And thousands paid. And so when we see a poppy worn, Let us reflect on the burden borne, By those who gave their very all, When asked to answer their country’s call. That we at home in peace might live. Then wear a poppy, Remember And give. Why Wear A Poppy? by Don Crawford

12.01.2022 So very true...
12.01.2022 One of my favourite quotes that gives me comfort... 'Molly Mahoney: Are you dying? Mr. Edward Magorium: Light bulbs die, my sweet. I will depart'. All stories, even the ones we love, must eventually come to an end and when they do, it's only an opportunity for another story to begin.
05.01.2022 There is a comfy little spot for everyone in this world. Enjoy being yourself always.
03.01.2022 www.honouralife.com.au is now operational with some minor tweaking still to come I'm sure.
02.01.2022 I have loved this verse for so long now.... IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER - by Erma Bombeck (Written after she found out she was dying from cancer.) ... I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day. I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage. I would have talked less and listened more. I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained, or the sofa faded. I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace. I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth. I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband. I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed. I would have sat on the lawn with my grass stains. I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more while watching life. I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil, or was guaranteed to last a lifetime. Instead of wishing away nine months of preg nancy , I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle. When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, 'Later. Now go get washed up for dinner.' There would have been more 'I love you's' More 'I'm sorry's.' But mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute.Look at it and really see it. . Live it and never give it back.
02.01.2022 Happy Father's day to all xo
01.01.2022 Benjamin Franklin once quoted "There never was a good war, or a bad peace". To my Great Grand Parents, Grand Parents and all that served - on this Remembrance Day - Thank you for my peace. X
01.01.2022 I was introduced to a beautiful poem just recently by Linda Ellis - called "the dash". What an inspirational verse.
