09.01.2022 Writing is so dang strange. I'm working on a fantasy novel today and the main character has just bought something. "How much does it cost?" he asks. The seller opens his mouth, and white noise comes out. Up until now, it didn't occur to me that a fantasy nation would need...um...currency.... Now my google search history is full of "List of medieval currencies" and "Currency in medieval Flanders" and so on for eternity. Anyone have a cool currency they like? I'm looking.

Australian post-utopian robin hood retelling, with grizzly detective maid marion. 2. Medieval fantasy with non-binary bard lead, angry wizard siblings and gardener rebel king.
