19.01.2022 A little bit of Fringed Lily overload for your Tuesday afternoon. Fringed Lilies can be a little tricky to capture, they are sun sensitive and tend to open from mid morning to early afternoon for direct sun exposure on sunny days. This morning the Rough Fringed Lily were in bloom and it's the first time I've captured so much colour variety from white, pink, lilac, and rich purple. ... Many-flowered Fringed Lily, Slender Fringed Lily, Climbing Fringed Lily and Rough Fringed lily.

18.01.2022 The big beautiful Native gerberas are popping up everywhere at the moment. Subtle differences with white, green and purple petals outside, and white inside.

05.01.2022 So close to nearly finished! We had a couple of power outages at Studio 255, which has held me up a little this week. Summer in the Hills. 2 more sessions to process, one more slide show, one more print run to Fitzy's and then it's tools down for a well earned Christmas break..... although I am already thinking and mood-boarding a creative shoot Alright! I am excited to do some fun personal shoots and push what I can create. Last Sunday I got to work with the AMAZING C...rooked team for the final weekend of Santa Micro mini's at Mandoon. I have been part of the crooked team photographing the Crooked Aussie Christmas for a few years now. Last Sunday was not only the most families to ever turn up for one of the pop-up-portrait events, but I think in that time frame that is THE most poses I have ever done in a day. I even had blisters from holding the camera! What's new in the client lounge? Carine RDA and REVA Showcase & Wind up photos are now on the website.

02.01.2022 This Sunday is the last Santa mini’s at Mandoon with the Crooked Pop-up Portraits team. Santa portraits with an Aussie Christmas theme. Last week was so well supported, and Mandoon had lots of entertainment to make it a memorable family day out. These are super quick micro mini lifestyle sessions, and like any event with atmosphere it can be a little overwhelm and over-stimulating for the little peeps of our family. Here are some tips and ideas on how to make the most of the...se sessions * Make it a special family afternoon. Bring a picnic blanket, camping chairs, some outdoor games, cards, a book. Make it a family day and photos just happen to be part of the experience. * Get the kids (who can write) to write a letter to Santa or draw Santa a picture. We have a little mailbox in our props too. * For littles who are nervous about meeting new people, you can tell them they are having photos with a friend of mummy’s (or daddy’s). There are pictures of the team on the Crooked socials and you can show them who we are. * Try avoid telling the kids to smile. I know this is common practice (thanks Kodak) but it does often create a tense smile and stiff bodies. We wants true giggles and laughter and have a few tricks on the day to get real connections. On the other hand, I also love tears and tantrum expressions. It’s lifestyle photos. Real, candid and a time of passage. * These sessions are outdoors and during the day. Bring along sun cream, hat, bug spray, and plenty of water. Relax and enjoy the fabulous location of Mandoon, and can’t wait to meet all the little people for our final event

01.01.2022 Indoor Hockey is a variation of traditional field hockey. It’s usually played in the off season, and an excellent way to improve skills and fitness with a smaller field, fewer players and fast paced. Did I mention it’s fast??? Hills Night Hockey Association started up in 1978, and run a yearly Summer tournament for Men, women and children hockey enthusiasts.

01.01.2022 Creating memories. I am really fascinated and love capturing how people like to capture their moments. Photographic equipment evolves so quickly, it feels like nearly every year there is something new - a new phone, a new camera. This creates such an interesting timeline that immerses before our eyes. What will be the next photographic trend? James Bond style sunglasses or will we go back in time and re-develop old pinhole techniques. Beautiful detail photos from Teelah & Shannon's weddings. My last wedding for 2020!
