20.01.2022 Not sure this actually means anything, but this is one of my favourite photos from the 2018 Cruisin' Country cruise starring Graeme Connors :) ViewBug #CountryMusic

17.01.2022 The best thing about being a journalist and highlighting the good deeds of selfless people. Thank you to Muswellbrook Chronicle for letting me write a story on the fantastic work of Renae Berridge and Kurt Grelle of Batur Haulage. If you're around Muswellbrook or Singleton, get on board and help those who've lost everything. Feels good to be back in news journalism for a little bit. Can I also say I'm very proud of Renae for doing something she didn't think she could do - radio interviews! Killing it :)

15.01.2022 It would appear I will be doing an interview at 5.45am tomorrow with Barbara Morison on All Kinds Of Country Radio Show 2ser-Fm talking about all the great festivals coming up including Groundwater Country Music Festival, Gympie Music Muster, Deni Ute Muster, C2C Country to Country Australia, CMC Rocks and even Tamworth Country Music Festival with tickets now on sale for some shows :)

14.01.2022 Writing is my passion and I want to thank Cheryl Brown for allowing me to indulge my passion by writing for Country Music Capital News... I had my first story published in this magazine, when it was still a newspaper, when I was 15 in June 1995, and 25 years later I still get to write stories for them!! That’s pretty cool Why am I telling you this? We are back in business and you should subscribe because there are some excellent stories in the September/October edition! ... Two of my stories get mentioned on the front cover and there are many artists who The Country Journo has worked with, also featured. Allison Forbes Ashley McBryde The McClymonts 8 Ball Aitken

12.01.2022 This was one of my favourite stories to write for Country Music Capital News. A bit of background on this one- it’s about how country artists stayed creative and remain creative when they can’t play gigs. I spent a lot of time on the phone chatting with artists I knew, some of them really close friends, and, as much as people wanted to keep having fun and staying positive during this pandemic, a lot of these chats also covered the darker sides of how this virus and the ensu...ing shutdown of the entertainment business has affected people I care deeply for. It was a fantastic story to write, pretty moving at times, and I was glad I could bring this story to readers and honoured that these mates trusted me enough to open up to me, knowing I would treat what they told me with the respect it deserved. This is a major part of what I love about working in country music - the relationships I’ve built and the stories that are shared. Thanks to Matt Cornell, Mike Carr, Buddy Goode, The Viper Creek Band, Dani Young, Gina Jeffreys, Tom Wolfe, The Wolfe Brothers, Katrina Burgoyne, Sammy White, and Troy Cassar-Daley for the chats and contributing to this story. Thanks to Cheryl Brown for allowing me to run with this story - this was originally a crazy 3200 words oops Grab a copy and see what your favourite artists have been up to, to keep themselves creative and brighten the lives of their supporters.

08.01.2022 Thanks to Ashley McBryde for the chat about her new music... wanna know more and read the whole story? Grab yourself a copy of Country Music Capital News - subscribe or get your newsagent to get it in for you if they don’t have it. There is nothing quite like print media. ... Thanks to editor Cheryl Brown The Country Journo

08.01.2022 Massive thank you to the The Gympie Times for running stories from me in the lead up to the Gympie Music Muster including this piece on iconic band, SIMPLY BUSHED on Tuesday, August 20. They returned to the Muster to the delight of fans and had a fantastic festival! #KeenAsMUSTERed

07.01.2022 Chatting all things CMC Rocks, and new music from Michelle Cashman, Rachael Dee and Adam Brand with Kristy Reading. Back in the good old days when I thought I was going to CMC Rocks before some bat-eating bloke put an end to that idea.

06.01.2022 My favourite job I’ve ever had (other than now), and one I wanted since I was very young, was to be the country music writer at The Northern Daily Leader. During my 13 years there, I moved into this role and couldn’t have loved it more. For a journalist who lives and breathes country music, there’s nothing better! Today I found a few of the special publications I was involved in over various years. A lot of tears went into all of these, but they were special times with an amazing team.

02.01.2022 A while back, I used to write for Country Update Magazine... found something old articles this morning that I’ll be posting throughout the day. Remember this one, Rob Black?

02.01.2022 I had the pleasure of interviewing my beautiful friend, Simon Johnson for this month's Country Music Capital News. You can read the full story by grabbing yourself a copy, but part of it is here... Thanks for the chat Simon and for being the kind of person we really need in this world and this industry. . .... . #countrymusic #AustralianCountryMusic #Producer See more

01.01.2022 This self-isolation thing is making me get stuff done... and I’ve been able to unpack lots of boxes that have been sitting around since January when I moved back to my home. That means I’m coming across lots of memories... this doesn’t look much, but it’s from CMC Rocks Awards 2018 when I covered the red carpet. It’s just a piece of paper, but represented that my little business was getting somewhere and I love that because... music pretty much rules my life and now I get to work in it 24 hours a day
